Are you plannig something Kahr? like, i dont know "Custom splashes"? or "Custom Light level"? : D
You can already do custom splashes, not sure if it'll work through texture packs though. Custom light level would be nice though.
I asked Kahr if it would be possible to add custom star size/density like the discontinued Minecraft Enhanced mod, but no word on it yet. Would be really nice to have for HD packs.

I like the idea for custom stars... but those HD clouds looks so laggy >.<
for some reason, when I patch for a 64x texture pack I get stuck on blackscreen right after login. been using this for a while without probs and downloaded the latest mcpatcher.
anyone know why or experiance this?
Help! I was using this before and it was fine but for some reason I don't think its compatible with some of my new mods? I do everything according to the instructions but HD Textures is greyed and my water is invisible and my pumpkins/bricks are lava-y.
Like I said it was working before, but i wanted new mods and restarted with fresh folders and now it doesn't work. I'm using all 1.1 stuff.
I installed Better than wolves and i realized i forgot to use mcpatcher, i patched minecraft but when i go to delete the META-INF file it is gone and i cannot install any mods. does anyone know where the META-INF file goes after it has been patched?
I have a problem. I like the default water texture, therefore when i patch MC, I un-tick "Customize water" and change it to "Default".
I have learned, after conducting many experiments, and going through numerous .minectaft folders, that changing anything to default will decrease your FPS significantly.
I now just open a fresh .minecraft, and run the HD patcher as it is, not un-checking anything, not changing anything, and I get an average of 60 FPS with LB photo realism pack x128.
If there is a fix to this, as I like the default water, I would love to know!
I have a problem, when I follow the steps to get texture packs in the Mods & Texture Packs menu, nothing shows up except "Default". I followed the steps correctly. I tried it with Misa's 64x64 and soniccurmpet's Mine Co. Adventure's (16x16) Does anybody know why this is happening?

So unfortunately it seems like there's still no compatibility between MC Patcher and minecraft forge (as far as I can tell). I've spent a good portion of time installing the appropriate mods on my server, only to find that I can't do the same with the clients :/ . I keep crashing to black screen on login, here's my setup.
(Using a Mac)
MCPatcher 2.3.2_01
Patch with MC Patcher on a fresh minecraft.jar
ModLoader (Game starts up and runs fine)
Modloader MP(Game starts up and runs fine as well)
Minecraft Forge 1.3.2.1 (Recommended) The game goes straight to black screen after clicking login.
Tried with Minecraft Forge 1.3.2.7 (Dev) Same issue as above.
When I use an unpatched version of minecraft all of the above mods install and work fine, it's just unfortunate because I've gotten to a point where Sphax is like my default (and just about only) texture pack that I use. The normal minecraft texture is just not to my liking at all.
If anyone knows of any fixes around this issue it would be incredibly appreciated! I've been searching around to no avail.
Say I want to completely rid MCPatcher of my .minecraft. Say I want to replace with Optifine because a mod requires Optifine, and Optifine cannot work with MCPatcher. But, say I want to keep all my mods, too, that wern't installed with MCPatcher. How can I rid it of my Minecraft?

Yes. Normally, Laptops, assuming you're using one, can't take 64x texture packs. Or, your PC just might not ber able to handle it because sometimes, PCs can't handle it.

Impossible, you must re-install everything
Laptops can handle 64x and up, it's the video card that it depends on

MCPatcher takes care about it.

Norton security is an oxymoron.

Any ideas? Thanks!
