I deleted my .bin file and reopened my minecraft to start anew and when I open the Patcher it shows all the mods and texture packs that failed in the past. What do I do?
Also, when I click the "Open texture pack folder" in game, it doesn't do anything. Nothing pops up. What do I do for this issue?
So i got a texture pack that changes birch trees into cherry trees, but when i try to install it using this, it doesnt work, and the leaves stay the same. MacBook Pro 2009, 16 inch (smallest size) mac OSX Snow Leopard
Hello, I'm just wondering on how the new animation properties are supposed to be worked with. Is this a .txt document that has a certain format that later has the extension renamed?
It's a text file with a .properties extension, similar to the one for fonts and custom colors. See the section under "Information for Texture Pack Authors" for the format.
Using Faithful32, and mcpatcher.. the hd fonts are screwing up with the tilde ~ symbol.. you can see its also bringing in that other strange looking triangle into the chat prefix. It shows up whenever the tilde symbol is used.
In Faithful32's font/default.properties, they have width.126=12 for some reason. Not sure why they would do that, but that's why it's showing half of the next character in the bitmap. The width of a character should be between 0 and 8 (floating point numbers allowed).

Just highlight all the mods you don't want and click the (-) button. Or delete mcpatcher.xml from the .minecraft folder to return to the default settings.
MCPatcher does not affect the Open Texture Pack Folder button. The button has only ever worked on Windows I believe. Are you running a different OS?
There's your problem. Download the latest version and try again.

The Unpatch button still works the same way, by copying minecraft-<version>.jar to minecraft.jar. Since minecraft-<version>.jar gets created the first time you run MCPatcher, unpatching effectively restores minecraft.jar to the way it was the first time you ran the patcher. If you had mods loaded at that time, they will still be there. If not, you will be back to an unmodded minecraft. This is another reason it's best to run MCPatcher last if possible.
If you're worried about losing your mods, follow these steps before running MCPatcher. Load your other mods and get minecraft.jar exactly the way you want it. Go into your bin folder and delete minecraft-1.3_01.jar (or whatever the current game version is). Run MCPatcher, and the backup it creates will be of your modded minecraft.jar.
If you Unpatch, it will revert to the state you had it in.
this may sound like a dumb question but i need to be careful just incase i delete somethhing important, you said the folder you should is minecraft [whatever version], will it say the version or not?
Your patcher does not create the folder called "mods"
I freshly installed minecraft v1.1 and re-tried the patching over and over.
seems it wont create a folder called mods.
Hi, every time I try to do something, it crashes and won't let me continue.

Ok I'm having a bit of a problem and I didn't think I'd have to come out of lurking but here I am with my first post...
I'm having some weird texture issues where my pumpkins get glitchy and sometimes the water shows text in it. I've got the latest MCPatcher(I think..), ver 2.3.1 and have tried patching a few different textures and have the same issues with each. Is this a common problem? I've been able to get rid of it in the past but now I can't remember how.. Someone please help!

Thanks

So basically install millenaire the normal old fashioned way then use MC edit to patch minecraft again correct?
Umm, that IS the latest, as far as I checked. Let me reinstall it and see for myself.
The thread title says 2.3.1. It's on every page at the top. Are you really this dense?
Sorry, it must of updated RIGHT AFTER I DOWNLOADED IT.
A full release with some new features like custom sheep and map colors is coming soon.
