My default texture gets changed to whatever the first Texture Pack i fix using the Patcher is. It doesnt go back unless i delete my entire minecraft folder
It seems no matter how I install this patch I can't get any textures to show up =/
I completely delete the .mincraft folder in /roaming. I open up minecraft and give it a fresh instal. I close it then run the patch, hit nothing but patch. Run minecraft and go to texture/mods but its not showing up even though the texture file is in the correct folder. Can anyone help me and tell me what exactly am I doing wrong? T_T
Sorry if this has been asked. I tried searching, but nothing came up.
When I install a mod and use the test minecraft option, the game loads fine. When I try to start the normal way, the game will not load. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

*Nevermind i figured it out. I was not suppose to be unzipping the files before putting them in the texture folder*
Now that it's being pointed out here I'm seeing it as well. You can see both glitched in this snapshot here.
Look at the sapling on the lower right and how it has glitches then also take a look at the "WildGrass" and see how it's offset from where it should be.
Always was there. Some pixels were unused, some textures use those on accident thus oversizing it.Jeb must have used those too!

Would possibly require a re-write of the lighting engine. Custom coloured light seems to be impossible as it is now. A per-block lightmap is a waste of space, lightmaps in general are a waste of space. The best would be to have a config file to define a light-color and light-level per block ID. Something like:
50 #FF0000 14
Which would mean "Block 50" (a torch), emits red light, at light level 14.
The best hope for this is when the official modding API is launched.
Program-wise, it's actually better to use sprite maps. Gifs store some additional data that you might not need, which is a waste of space. (However little waste it might be.) However, gifs do give the author some control over animation speed and such, which is an advantage to png sprite maps.
as I said, im no coder nor a programmer, but what you said actually makes a lot of sense (especially the 1st part), i like it. and as far as the .gif goes that's basically what i want, more control over speed of the animation. these are good methods to look into.
After reinstalling all my mods using the latest version of the patcher, I have gotten the following error when trying to connect to a server

I never got this error before repatching using the latest MCPatcher, and no new mods were included.
Hi, uh... I was wondering if you could add customizable sheep fur colors to the Custom Color mod. It always bothered me that the fur colors don't match the colors of the actual wool blocks in my texture packs and now that the Patcher has this feature it could work to fix that issue I have... Also being able to change the color of the enchanted items/potions' glow would be nice.
EDIT: I think I might have found a small bug. The water particles (rain splashes, water drops) are affected by the watercolorX.png instead of the color.properties.txt. I've only editted my pack with watercolorX.png, swampgrasscolor.png and swampfoliagecolor.png yet my water particles are messed up.
i have a problem i cant use the mod buildcraft with mcpatcher before patch it works just fine but once i patch it gives me black screen plz help!!!!!!!!!!
Read the topic, we already posted multiple messages on Forge 1.2.3. MCPatcher needs an update, as it currently doesnt work with Forge 1.2.3. Any mod depending on that version of Forge will crap out on you.
Also, the Test mode is very unreliable, as it tests with a CLEAN minecraft.jar, instead of with the modded version you might have. So beware, always backup your modded minecraft.jar before patching. And leave that test mode to the side, it's useless.
If you patch and then use test mode it will test the modified jar. You are completely wrong.
When I just want to patch Minecraft with the HD Texture Patch etc., it works fine. But if I add ModLoader (with MCP) and patch, it doesn't work and this error pops out:

Curse PremiumDue to all the mods your using and their complexity, it may be best if you don't use mcPatcher at all. To uninstall it just simply delete it!
