Is it possible to add a texture pack change button to the escape menu?
this way you could switch texture packs without having to disconnect from a server.
This would really help reviewing different textures and seeing differences between texture pack versions?

Awe. Some. I cannot tell you how much grief that overlay has given me as a textur-maker. If you manage to remove it I (and many others I'm sure) will be super grateful. :smile.gif:

I'm hoping to do one better and automatically refresh textures whenever the zip file changes.

I've made progress, but there are more hard-coded colors (potions, pine/birch trees, water/lava drops) in the game than I realized at first. I'd really like to have something that addresses all of them without overwhelming texture pack authors with work.

I really don't know what to make of this. It seems to be an error opening any File browse dialog. I see you're using Java 7 though. Maybe uninstall it and try Java 6?
I have tried to use texture packs as well as this patcher with my minecraft 1.8.1. The problem is I place the files in the correct texture and maps folder but in the game all the texture packs I picked are always greyed out and never work. Can someone please tell me how to get it working. If it helps I am using windows 7.

Interesting. I hope you're not planning to make a blanket remove-all option though- come people might just want one annoying overlay removed, not all of them.
Hi...i have a problem... i Don't have minecraft-1.8.1.jar.... can someone help me please?
that would be the backup jar that the patcher creates as a backup (think of it like a modified META-INF folder that doesnt stop loading but removes changes to the minecraft.jar)

windoge 8 has the saddest excuse for a BSOD, it just tells you the type of error, no stop code, no nothing, just "something went wrong, all your unsaved work has now been lost to the void that is volatile memory"
This program Mcpatcher 1.1 screwed up my computer it is on my desktop and I can not delete it to my recycle bin, it says the action can not be completed because it is open using Java(TM)platform SE binary. Please tell me how to get it off my computer and my desktop plz reply.
Was Dynamic Lights added to 2.2.2 of the MC Patcher? It isn't showing up in my list to choose whether or not to install it. When I press the "L" button in-game, nothing happens.

thankyou.
There's a mod available.

Only for 1.8.1 though

There's only one version of MCPatcher and it works with all versions of the game. Post-Halloween Update at least.

Curse PremiumIf so, it's not working properly because after setting it to 5120, I get in-game and see it's still under 1mb when I press F3.
I love that it can add mods to the minecraft.jar for us.
