I'm having a problem, I'm trying to delete the minecraft-1.9.jar like it says, but when I do while the mcpatcher is running I get this error message : "This action can't be completed because the file is open in Java(TM) Platform SE binary". When I close the mcpatcher I can delete it however, but then a new minecraft-1.9.jar is created as soon as I reopen it.
So I can't delete the file before using the patcher. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm trying to install the painterly texture pack with the flowing water they have offered, specifically saying to use this in order to get it to work. They mention in a demo video that I need to make sure my texture settings are set to 16x16. I can't figure out how to change any of those settings.
This goes for any Texture pack that has custom water (I've tried installing some HD packs and same goes for those as well, plus I always get these weird outlines around some items like torches and flowers...). I look at the preview photo's and the in game water is always that default ugly ass blue and not what the pack advertised. What's going on, why can't I ever enjoy a packs water customization? :/
Huh, well. I'm using the Version 1.8.1. I tried deleting the minecraft-1.8.1.jar file as recommended but when the patcher runs the option to install the HD Textures pack is ghosted out and cannot be selected. What's got it so tripped up?
I get this weird error where the 32x32 textures are being compressed to 16x16 (lowering quality ALOT)
This has only been happening since the Voxel ModPack updated: (Link: http://www.voxelwiki.com/minecraft/Modpack)
There doesnt seem to be any support for 1.9 pre release 1. I had pre release 1 working with the lag fix which replaces the bnclass, and when I started the patch launcher it said it couldnt find the .jar and all this other stuff. Please help.
Seriously, there needs to viewable crafting recipes in the game. Go support this idea. Also click on my profile to view my space thread under find content.
Trying to patch with this seems to work successfully at first, but it spits an "outdated client" error when trying to connect to a 1.9 pre2 server.
You still had a backup of pre1 at .minecraft/bin/minecraft-1.9.jar, so when you patched, it overwrote pre2 with pre1. Delete minecraft-1.9.jar, copy pre2 back to minecraft.jar and patch again. After you do this, don't delete the minecraft-1.9.jar again.
Anyone having trouble with 1.9pre2 should try this. See the blue text in the OP.
Anyone else noticed that this can also add experimental GLSL shaders then running with -experimental parameter?
I was wondering if anyone would find that. daxnitro gave permission to incorporate his mod into the patcher. It was a project I started but never fully finished. It does appear to work, with the big exception of breaking the new lighting engine in 1.8 and newer. I'll try to figure out why when I have time, but no promises.
Great mod! I've been fiddling around with lots of mods trying to get them all to work, and now I've run into a problem with Better Grass. In the patch loader it's greyed out and says "Better Grass cannot be applied: Render Blocks: No Classes Match". How do I fix that? Can I manually copy and paste the better grass files into the .jar somehow? Thanks!
Can the look of HD Textures be made to look better? I just tried Optifine and my textures look pixelated. I also tried MC Patcher and it's about half the same.
My screenshots are on page 364 of Optifine.
EDIT: Found the problem...Misa's texture pack. Hopefully, she can answer my question about it.

My problem: I used Mcpatcher with Painterly pack and I still get white endermens...

It looks like you haven't patched the game yet. The picture shows what happens when you try to use HD textures without patching.

Thanks to all the creators and everyone else that makes this game so bad a**!
