I'm new to MCPatcher and using higher-res textures, so if someone could explain this to me, it would help my understanding of how the patch works:
How the hell did the patch that I applied to Minecraft v1.8 yesterday persist through v1.8.1, which I just updated a few minutes ago? I thought MCPatcher modified the minecraft.jar file... Right?
Today, after I updated to game version 1.8.1, the first thing I did was open up Minecraft to test it, and I noticed that the high-res texture packs still worked (I actually loaded a couple and launched the game). But I haven't applied MCPatcher since yesterday, before the latest update... What's up with that? Does this patch persist through multiple client versions? Thanks...
Windows only is exe.
All others is a bunch of folders. I remember when it used to be a jar file. What do I do with all the folders and files from zip to patch my minecraft on MacOSX?
Before use mcpatcher:
this is moded minecraft.jar file with some mods.
After i use the mcpatcher:
Clear original minecraft.jar file, only mcpatcher!
@BioBG you do realize that your glitch is probably not MC patcher I had the same problem when trying to use optifine with minecraftforge if you have your MCpatcher adding other mods like the modloader's and minecraftforge it would mean you do not have only mcpatcher if your mcpatcher is adding optifine you better remove it that doesnt work with some mods
I only say this is because I added only MCpatcher HDtexture patch and no other option then I added a texture and it looked perfect no block was wrong. so like I said if you are using it to add mods remove all but the texture mod and work your way up modloader should be fine minecraftforge should be fine but avoid having both minecraftforge and optifine at the same time or you will never have working texture
I joined a server earlier, and noticed pictures of fire on the sides of blocks, so i did the patching to update the texture pack, and now i cant join the server. just wanna know whats going on and how to fix. ty
Thank you! But for 1.8 there are a lot of un-finished textures still. But i´m sure you know that :smile.gif:
Keep updating! Modding became easier in 1.8 right? :smile.gif: or is that 1.9?
Hey guys. I'm hoping you can help me out on this issue.
I'm trying to load up the textures from the LB Photo Realism pack (128x128 and 256x256) with the MCHD patcher 2.1.1. Using the test button makes it all work perfectly fine, except that my wolves won't stand up from the sitting position. Throwing some water or damaging them won't fix it either. Launching the game through the downloaded .EXE fixes this, but then the textures don't work anymore (everything's white with green ground for grass). Trying to use the browser version just makes the game hang on the initial loading screen.
If I use mcpatcher 2.1.1 with 1.8.1 and Misas I get out of memory crashes... This is obviously a new bug, because I didn't get this bug ever before.
This is exactly what I am now seeing as well. Misas 3.0.0 on minecraft 1.8.1 with either mcpatcher 2.1.1 or 2.1.0_02 will quickly allocate memory until minecraft crashes.
Changing Java versions (6 or 7) and bumping up -Xms/Xmx memory settings does not seem to have any effect, other than to change how long it takes before the crash occurs.

Installation order: Modloader -> HD Texture patcher.
Bug or conflict : After installing Mod Loader when MC patcher is executed it analyzes the jar and greys out better grass option.
Requesting a fix or a guide to install these properly.
In the Texture Pack Misa 301 have the Water default textures. But everything else has been patched.
Even after re-downloading all the files, the error is not resolved ...
Log Error?

I'm noticing a bug with the furnace GUI, is this just me? Running SilkCraft. Here is the screenshot:EDIT: Nevermind, somehow the texture customizer doubled the size of the GUI...
So I then re-installed the mods... And the texture pack is unpatched. So I re-patch it and the mods are gone...
So this never-ending cycle continues, and I can't decide whether to keep my mods or loose my beloved texture pack!
What do I do?????

Anyone know what's going on?
Second that.
I've updated the patcher to 2.1.1_01 and fixed the bug with ModLoader. See OP for details.
