Not to be mean here, but how can you sit back and say "no update needed" when people have been having a lot of problems since 1.7? :sad.gif:
Not aiming my entire post at you...but...
Probably because MC has been updated twice since 1.7.
But there's only been a few posted error reports since the patcher was at 1.7....so does this constitute reason to update for Kahr? The rest has nothing to do with the patcher being updated (on the previous page...block types? No, has nothing to do with the patcher). Even the error report you posted may have nothing to do with the patcher really. It may be an isolated case. In which case, Kahr can check out the reason and adjust for it. Doesn't warrant an immediate update though.
realize that every time the patcher updates for the newest MC version, the mods ALL have to also update for it all to mesh. Just like the SMP servers and Bukkit. Usually takes 3-5+ days (on server with the plug-ins) for everything to even out AFTER the last MC update. This means that, in a week, we've had three MC updates (that affected any other apps/mods).
Can the patcher be used with Optimine/optifog? before I used them it was fine but after I put them in the game wouldn't start. Also I'm still on 1.6.6
If you are on 1.6.6, then that's likely the problem. The patcher is for 1.7.2 now and the mod may not even be updated. All things must be updated for the same version to work properly in most cases. So check the versions.

Well, after the earlier unfixable problems nobody bothered to help me with, I uninstalled and re-installed minecraft, and now when I try to install a texture pack, my game still works, but in the minecraft texture packs selection area, all the texture packs are grey and don't do anything when clicked.

I'm sure that's not it because I never downloaded the version after the 1.7 update and am still using the version I used when it was 1.6.6.

I have been scouring the forums and the web for the answer with no results so I will ask here...
First off, I am creating a 64x texture pack after being inspired by many others. I am coming up to the part where I need to create custom water/lava animation files. My questions:
1. Where are the DEFAULT Minecraft texture pack lava/water animation files stored? I cannot find them. (I see the 5 tiles for each in terrain.png but they do not look like the animation I see in Minecraft.)
2. Using the MCPatcher HD Fix, what is the default size for an animation file for water/lava, considering that I am using a 64x size? (I have seen files that are 64 tiles in height with dimensions of 64 x 4096 pixels.) Is it necessary that that I stick to this 1:64 ratio, or can I cut it down for less animation frames? (i.e. 16/32 frames, or 1024/2048 pixels high)
Thanks for any help or tips you pros can give me! :smile.gif:
Im getting this really weird texture glitch it isn't displaying the bed or cake properly with my texture pack and ive tried repatching it to no avail.
then i deleted the bin and placed the terrain file in .jar and i still get
his (notice the water in both their different as one is unpatched and the other isn't) and here's my terrain just to prove its not human error such as me leaving or erasing part of the bed and cake and its 16x btw

Why is this happening?
Your texture pack needs to be updated. The newst update to MC changed the location of part of those textures.
*Edit - Fixed for ya, Just plop this terrain file into the pack in place of the older version and you should be ok to play

K, I've looked for a solution, tried the sole suggestion in the last topic and got nothing. Maybe you guys can help.
Even when I'm using something as small as a 64x64 pack after patching, all or most of the textures are stark white, and the console gives me an endless string of this error:
########## GL ERROR ##########
@ Pre render
1281: Invalid value
This does not cease until I quit. I deleted options.txt and reverted to the default texture before repatching and that did nothing. Since that was the ONLY suggestion on the subject.. yada yada yada, here I am! >.>
Try Starting with a fresh MC install. Backup you saves. then delete the minecraft folder.
Run the minecraft exe. then it should dl all the files again.
then install the patcher packs mods etc.
If this doesnt fix it your tex pack is prolly outdated.
GL error refers to the Open gl driver. try updating your java. and video card drivers.
I've tried that, I've updated my drivers and java numerous times, downloaded numerous texture packs, and I run Minecraft via a special "minecraftstarter.bat" to bypass the "bad video card drivers" error and crash on startup. Thinking about it now that might be it but here's nothing I can do about that until Notch fixes the bug. >_>
I just got a great idea, you should add an optional minimap to the patcher. It could easily be obtained, as the patcher already has access to the .jar.
I'm not really sure whats gone wrong. I have experience with minecraft, texture-packs and stuff like that, but im just stumped. This patcher is not working for 1.7.2 for me. It worked beautifully on 1.6.6 and 1.7_1, but it will not work! The texture-packs are grayed out on the texture-pack menu. Can someone show me whats wrong, or find me another patcher?

I don't think it works yet...from reading this thread.

to see and example of what i'm talking about I attached a video:
when a block is moved it turns black for a moment. Also I noticed that half blocks now use the bottom of a textur instead of the top, wich is strange.
None the less it's cool the patcher still works and none of these things are major problems.
Check out my texture pack
He obviously won't be able to run it, since he's using a cracked launcher... It says so on its titlebar.
