I'm having trouble getting the game to recognize I have the pack in the folder. I downloaded it, put it in the texturepack folder of the (It's in .jar form) I also downloaded mcpatcher and patched the HD pack fix into it. But when I run the game, it doesn't even show I have the pack in there!

Anybody having issue with the HD Font (uncheck it and the words are together, if you check it, the font boldness (for Single Player, Multiple Player, Options) is extremely thin)
When I installed modloader along with toomanyitems the texture for the grass in my texture pack "john smith" was broken so, I used mcpatcher to make the broken texture go away and when I went back onto minecraft i pressed o and nothing happened.
I don't think this is compatible with modloader. I'm only using zombe's flymod and this but when i try to install modloader it crashes. But usually modloader works with zombe's flymod so i think this is incompatible with it :/
I cant seem to connect to any of the download links. MediaFire dosnt work for my mac anyway, it would be great if you could put a direct download link :biggrin.gif:

Ok so, I am such a moron when it comes to this stuff, I try not to mess with it because I know I am bad at it, but I really found a texturepack that I love.
So, I have some mods previously, and wanted to run Sphax through the patcher so the water would stop getting the errors.
So I decided to give it a try, but now it doesn't work.
I ran the patcher and the test worked perfectly fine.
However, when I log onto the actual Minecraft on the website, it stops at Done Loading. What am I doing wrong?
Hello i am trying to install the dynamic lights mod for version 1.0.0 and the instructions say that it is in the list of install able mods in mcpatcher 2.2.2 or higher and i have downloaded it and i can't find it any help for were it could be.
Can someone help me.... i am running windows 7 and i downloaded the mcpatcher for windows and wen i double click on it nothing happens.. i even tried downloading the .java one but to no prevail they both do nothing at all nothing pops up. i cant find help anywere
hey i was installing gui mob spawner and it had 2 folders a / and a gui folder both with stuff in them so i just put both in it worked but i would like to know if it was the right way because it didnt have a classes sub folder
Hey I read over a few of the pages but didn't see the issue I was getting, also tried the search feature - but nothing came up or wasn't worded in a sense I would search for it. (Otherwise, sorry if it's already been said / asked I did look.)
When I run MCPatcher it -works- mostly. Aside from the issue that the sides of grass blocks turn grey. (In Ovo's Rustic v1.5 and the Default Minecraft texture.) Is this a common error, or am I the only one experiencing it? And is there a way to fix it? (If unpatching it is the only way to fix it - is it possible to only unpatch Better Grass?)
Update to latest McPatcher (and if you use it: ModLoader) version and patch again. What other mods do you use?
Both versions are the new versions of ModLoader and MCPatcher. The only mods I am using currently are the Shelf, Armorstand, AudioMod, ReiMinimap, Randomobs, and SpawnerGUI.
I think, Minecraft looks ugly without BetterGrass, but of course you can unpatch only this particular mod. Simply remove the check mark in the check box and hit “Patch” again.
And trust me, it looks uglier with the grey sides on the grass.
I dont get this. I redownloaded a mod and it didnt complain, but wen i patched the texture packs, it deleted the mod, even if i unpatched the textures, i had to redownload the mod. so i redownloaded the mod and didnt patch it. is there a way to prevent this?

Just went through installing everything again, apparently it's ModLoader causing the grey issue. Is ModLoader out for 1.0.0 or are the other sites on google just advertising it as 1.0.0 and it's really not?

I have one small suggestion/request, and one large suggestion/request;
1. Would is be possible to make randommobs support sheep color? ie
sheep.png, sheep2.png etc - for white sheep
sheep_lightgrey.png, sheep_lightgrey2.png etc
sheep_grey.png, sheep_grey2.png etc
etc
So that when the sheep are shaun, we know what colour they were, particularly for breeding - it'll also stop that silly white fring they always have! :smile.gif:
2. Full UV maps for each block - yeah this one could be huge.
Essentially the system would check in a "blocks" folder for a texture, such as block98.png - stone brick - it would expect a texture where first square was top, north side, east side, south side, west side, and finally bottom, and render that accordingly. If it didn't find the png, then it'll render as normal.
For some more complex ones, such as fences, buttons, press pads, stairs, half blocks, etc, texturepacks could provide much more seamless and detailed results - no longer would we have to see recycled textures.
I've never modded MC myself, so am probably underestimating how hard this is, but i thought it may be possible as the animated water and lava is currently achieved with this mod.
If any of it doesn't make sense or needs elaboration, let me know, :smile.gif:
