I downloaded the pack it works fine and all, but it LAGS like frame by frame. Anyone know why or how i can fix this?

Have you tried OptiFine, it fixes the white spiders and endermen.

I'm making a custom compass needle, do I need to have one frame having the needle point north and it animates it from there, or how does it work, and how is it set up?
(I'm kind of confused by the whole file names thing and where to put it)

Also, do I make custom fonts by editing font.txt? Because I did once with the patcher and it didn't have the font changes :I

Yes, this is a bug in 2.2.1 and will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime you can either (1) edit spider_eyes.png and enderman_eyes.png so that all transparent pixels have rgb values of 0, or (2) just remove the two pngs altogether.

There's currently no support for a custom compass needle, only custom watch dials. I may look into supporting custom compass in a future update.

font.txt is just a list of characters in the font. To change the appearance, you need to edit font.png.

I have a few problems :angry.gif:, johnsmith and misa306 both have some weird textures:
misa306 has little fire and transparent srites on grass bocks and other things.
johnsmith and misa306 both have water that says: Use MCPatcher
This all happened after putting in mods in the minecraft.jar file.
Adding mods using MCPatcher doesn't do a thing. :angry.gif:

EDIT: Not quite sure if all x32 and x64+ texurepacks act like this.

Hi there, I'm getting that weird bug that you have to use the work around for but the problem is the work around isn't working. I get a "'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file," error. Is there something I am missing?

Could you please make a version of MCPatcher that operates within the .minecraft folder that it is placed inside of instead of automatically just in the default .minecraft folder location? Or at least add some option or means for the main version to do so?

I, and more and more others, are using a simple and easy method on PC's that allows having separate .minecraft folders for different versions etc without moving them or renaming them or anything. Especially useful when testing different mod proto-types and such.

btw: Here is a link to my most recent report on using MCPatcher 2.2.1 for installing the Cubic Chunks Mod v1.5.3 Test 5 with HD Textures.

The HD Textures file has always needed to be last in order to work with the Cubic Chunks Mod, even back when it only used Modloader. :wink.gif: Works great though!

This is what it looks like when you try to use HD textures without patching. Are you sure the patcher ran successfully?

You may need to specify the full path to the java executable instead. In Windows it will look something like this:

There is a command-line option for specifying the minecraft directory, but it's been a while so I can't guarantee that it still works. Just add -mcdir <directory> on the command line:

java -jar mcpatcher-2.2.1.jar -mcdir "C:\my\other\minecraft\dir"

i encoutnered a slight problem when i install modloader and tmi it does not work and when i unzip the jar the meta-inf is still there plz i need help. Also when i instal other mods it only worked once :dry.gif:

The graphic errors don't happen when I don't use mods.
When I use mods, it happens.
mods don't work when I put them in with MCPatcher.

for some reason my spiders and endermen are white any idea how to fix this

I'm CA French so there is the txt in my one language:

J'ai eu ce problème (araignées blanches)lors de la création du texturepack que j'utilise présentement. Le moyen que j'ai trouver pour fixer le problème : supprimer tout les 'eyes.png' pour ensuite les remplacer par 'spider_eyes.png, enderman_eyes.png' par défaut sans incrément.


My Traduction I think is Ok x)
I had this problem (white spiders) when I create the texturepack which I use now. The way I found to fix the problem: remove all the 'eyes.png' and then replace them with default 'spider_eyes.png, enderman_eyes.png' without increment.
