i want to simply edit some textures inside a texture pack (32x32)
when i try to replace a png in the rar it says its locked. what is this about?
i want to start with a 32x32 pack as the blank slate, rather than going the way of all the "how to make a texture pack" tutorials on the internet, starting with the original minecraft texture pack. how do i go about this?

i'm near positive that it is just that texture pack that is locked, the author most likely did this to stop any stealing of textures. The best way to find out if this is true is to try another 32x32 pack!
