Ye i like it like that but insted of brown then black, or mayby it start black and then goes down to a brown, so it look like the wood is more burned near the flame and less away :smile.gif: But you are on the right track.
I love most the first sandstone you made, I like the glow of it. But i like the grafik of the new stone, so a mix of both i think is the best :biggrin.gif:
The gravel is just the way i think it shoul be :wink.gif:
The gui look's great mayby put a thicker line around the text so it's easier to see, but that may just be me :biggrin.gif:

ok so heres the New New sandstone i mixed the colors from the original sandstone with the new sandstone heres wat i got:

I got to get may self wooden stereo :smile.gif: I think you should remove the lines over the speaker and make the speaker bigger, then make the lines to the start of the speaker, so it look like the speaker is in a hole :biggrin.gif:
Sorry if i criticize you work to much, it's just i would never get to make a full texture pack my self, so i try to get what i would like to see in a texture pack in your's :biggrin.gif: you are doing a great work
No thats fine i love your criticism, my texture pack has benefited greatly from your advice. So i wasnt quite sure wat u went b4 but heres wat i got:
I'd say for the sand add a few sea shells to it but not too many that it will over power the sand.
Also add a few small rocks as you would normally see on a beach or a sandy outcrop at the edge of a forest.
If I had a way to take a picture of what I'm talking about it would help greatly.

EDIT: the gravel i dont really like it is too pix-elated when you walk and looks really weird from a distance. I wish Minecraft had some sort of texture filtering

have you tryed mipmap, it help with some of the long view pixel problems

Which Gui do you like i'll probs do both anyways but here they are:
a very basic one to match the start menu buttons. (ill make start menu buttons for the other one aswell)
or
a sandy more textured one:
They still need at bit of refining but thats the base image
I love using 256 packs but I think it would be a great idea if we could include some more materials like ores and more items like a lot of things from IndustrialCraft like the radioactive materials and better armour designs with better armours and tools alike, and also aircraft would be super sweet, of all the things you could do then it would be such a fantastic thing to do for the 256 textures
im still miles away from finishing the default textures so that isnt goin to be an option for a long time. Sorry :/
