About This Pack:
Before I tell you about the pack i must say I've never used Paint.NET or Gimp for anything so large scale i was never really good at photo editing or creating anything from scratch but over the past few weeks my skills have improved and have been getting better constantly. I must also say this is still largely WIP so there wont be a complete download for a while. But i may post a test download just for people to test it out. I have done most textures but there is still a fair bit to go. Ok so now for details about the texture pack: Most of the images used from real life pictures but have been heavily edited(well most of them) but a few are done by hand. So now for some pictures.:
from left to right: yellow flower, rose, red mushroom, sapling, brown mushroom

Please post any suggestions you have on how to improve and say if you like it or hate it. Also make sure you explain why.
Looks nice. Too bad my computer can barely handle 64x :/
i could resize to 64x if ya wanted not sure about quality tho. Also have you tryed Optimine my laptop couldnt even handle mine but once i used optimine it got it to about 24fps on worst settings with normal render.
ok just for testing heres a 64x version the quality is pretty good i dont have the best internet atm so expect the 256x WIP by monday or tuesday.

Then i can try it.
its not suggested to use the texture pack option anyways. OK the easiest thing to do is extract the file and:
1: add directly into Minecraft.jar or
2: and then re-compress into a zip yourself

One problem that many of these hd packs have is the dark dirt imo. It just doesen't look to good at a long distance.
Other than that it looks pretty nice.
ok ill see wat i can do with the grass. Thx for that. Im gonna try to make the textures not so grainy ingame. The problem is due to Minecraft lack of texture filtering but ill see if i can get it to look smoother.

I didn't read the whole post cuz I'm a bit short on time, so forgive me if I said anything already said:
-1st I'm glad you're doing this, there really aren't enough options for 256 packs. And maybe, just maybe, if we get enough of them someday we'll see 512 packs =O haha, jk
-Sand looks a little flat. You're definitely going in the right direction with the "wind-blown" lines but it needs more of a grainy look.
-I really really like dirt
-Grass texture reminds me of Scuttles' pack. I like it =) Maybe make sidegrass a bit longer
-the are flowers are good, but I would work on cleaning up the edges. Against the brown they're pretty noticeable
-cobble stone, though it looks nice, is a bit too organized for me. Personally I'm a fan of cobble stone that looks jagged and rough, just for realism sake.
-is it me or is the jackolantern face is tilted to the left a bit?
-I like the rough cut of cake. What kind of cake is it supposed to be?
All in all, good work so far, you obviously know what your doing.

the cake is ummm idk. I made it completely from scratch using good old gimp and paint.net :tongue.gif:. Ill have to think of a name.

was just dong sandstone
and been refining the flowers for about 30mins
and now eating dinner while still doing finishing touches on yellow flower :tongue.gif:

Just redid obsidian
might wanna put up a better screen of the obsidian..it barely shows the texture if you look really hard. the sandstone is kinda weird.. the bricks should look sandblown and whats in the creases should be dark.. you got it bassackwards...lol

I like the Rose and yellow flower, though the sand needs a change to it.
But that's just me.
