For the sample image of my new texture pack, I want to use a 128x128 version of my side grass block. However, when I enlarge it with GIMP, it does some sort of blur and the block looks odd. Does anyone know of a way to enlarge it without blurring everything (essentially making it look exactly the same, just longer)?
When you enlarge it you add more pixels that the smaller version didn't have.
Gimp tries to fill in the missing pixels with those from the original picture.
It will always look blurry... Theres nothing u can do.
Try messing around with the curves.
Go to Colors>Curves
Make the top right part go left and the bottom left part go right a bit.
See if that helps.
Wrong. When enlarging, Go to image > scale image. When in the pop up scale image menu, there will be a drop-down box titled "Filter". It probably is on default and is set to "Zinc-lancos". Click on the drop down bar and set it to "None". That's it. simple!
