Hey guys, I recently downloaded and installed the "MikeCraft" texture pack. I don't like it, so I want me default texture pack back. However, I can't find out how. I opened up Minecraft and clicked "Mods & Texture Packs" and tried to select the Default option. It won't let me!
I am assuming your using the new launcher, and you have updated to the latest version, so, the simplest way is as follows.
1. Open minecraft launcher.
2. Click Options.
3. Press the "Force Update" button.
4. Press "Done"
5. Login as usual.
What this does:
I assume you used the HD texture patcher, basically this program replaces the files from your selected texture pack and adds them to the Minecraft.jar file in the Bin folder of your .Minecraft folder. This is the only file altered. It makes sure the sizes of all images are the same across the whole Jar file are the same. What Forcing Update does is that it downloads a new copy of all of this file and the others of the Bin folder so they're all at the default state. An alternative way to return to the default is to run the Latest HD texture patcher and press the Undo button. It returns your Minecraft.Jar back to the state it was in before your last use of the patcher.
Please note, if you only added a Texture Zip to the Texture pack folder you can even more easily fix it by clicking mods and textures ingame and clicking the default pack. Good Luck.

I don't see the "Force Update" button. And for some reason I can't find my .minecraft. It's wierd. I've tried the in game one, it won't work.
Can anyone help?
DONT LISTEN TO THIS GUY!
A much simpler way of doing this is deleting the version file and playing minecraft.
That doesn't always work.
I'd just delete everything in .minecraft EXCEPT the saves folder, and then run minecraft.exe - 100% foolproof.
My texture pack is linked in the channel too - be sure to at least take a look!
