As for the legs, I will try and cycle through the palette by one or two shades and see how that looks. The top to bottom gradient was definitely intentional, though.
Disclaimer: Pack will not actually contain zombies in thongs. Unless ofcourse... you want it? XD

lol all you have to do is copy your normal zombie skin about 100 times and name them zombie1-100.png and then have the pink thong one as zombie101.png and players will have a 1 in 100 chance of seeing a zombie in a sexy pink thong

I thought of that, though that's a bit inefficient to say at least.
I also tried a version where he only spawns in beach biomes (along with three normal zombie variants), but that did make him show up a bit... too often still. XD
I made a suggestion in the MCPatcher thread about having weights for the different mob skins in the properties file. Maybe Kahr will pick it up?

That would be great, but I also kind of started using Optifine instead of MCPatcher simply because of its other features... I wish they could just fully merge. Two very popular mods offering the same things just makes things troublesome, in my opinion.

Well, you better suggest some good variants, then!
I'm running a little low on Randomob ideas for the zombies. I'm not looking to do complete overhauls at this point, but I don't want the variants to be too redundant, either.
Stuff I already have: Sad face, eye patch, earring, different colored pants, boots, fingerless gloves, shirtless.
Hm ... I think the easiest ways to set the zombies apart from each other at this point would be through differing hairstyles, facial expressions, skintones, or patterns of body decay. Gotta say, though; this guy's hands-down my favorite MC zombie ever already! Especially in that thong. xD
I actually rebuild all the models in a 3d program (3ds Max in case you are wondering). It takes a bit of preparation work, but it really helps to be able to preview your skin as you're working on it.
Those are great zombies, I like the 'Dracula-esque' hair. Not sure if that's what you were going for, but it works! I actually think the dark legged version is better, but both work anyway.
As for the... other zombie... I don't want to think about what he will drop when you kill him.
I can't wait to see what you do with the other mobs. You really have amazing talent. Seriously! Everything you've shown so far is just amazing. I am so eager to see what you make the Wither and Wither Skeletons, Ghasts, Slimes, Blazes, Skeletons, Endermen, and Magma Cubes look like. The Wither itself is already pretty scary and imposing, I know you will be able to do it justice though!

My, have I got a version for you!

Of course we want it! make it a random mob that has like a 1 in 20 chance of spawning.

I'm not fully on top of the randomobs/ctm personalization, but is that not possible?

It is! But then I have to make 5 more zombie variants, ack! XD
Steelfeathers! You naughty girl!
(Look who's talking)
Yeah, that would be nice.
But joy for me.

Curse PremiumWonderful creeper (the whole forest spirit thought train gave me an idea or two for mine) and the zombie looks magnificent (even the thong one).
Can't wait to see how the ghasts turn out, they always turn out to be my favourite mob in 80% of packs.
Unless you made your base on the beach! In which case... you may see him a little more often.

Ack! Now I don't know anymore whether I should go for the light or the dark legs!
As for the hair, indeed, Dracula-esque is what I had in mind.
