Here's a little example that I made, showing what you could create with the new nether brick and enchantment items. If you always wanted to make your own dark fortress, now you can! :laugh.gif:

Yep, I made a point of making the new nether additions a color other than red, to add some variation to an otherwise very red environment. :laugh.gif:
That's also why I made my netherwart purplish rather than red.

Yeah, I do plan on doing something with that eventually, but I think it's more important to get the mobs done. So that's what I'll be working on next. :smile.gif:

I've been flying around in creative just being amazed at these textures. The colors you used are perfect.

Im not really gonna be playing much Minecraft, but Im still gonna download it just because I love it so much.

@Domino: I always spend a long time color-matching textures to the rest of the pack, and I also reuse color palettes whenever I can, so that everything fits together as nicely as possible! :wink.gif:

Anyways, prerelease 5 is just out! They added one new texture, namely a special effect for the enderdragon's death. Considering that I haven't done the enderdragon yet, the pack is still fully compatible. Whew! :laugh.gif:

Could you maybe post some color palettes when you get the time, or maybe direct me to some good beginners tutorials for pixel art? I've been trying to make my own and I am kinda lost with the certain brightness of each one.

Glad to see that this pack got updated ^^
I've been using it for quite some time, but when i got 1.8 i had to switch to a different pack just so i could see my hunger bar. x3
I'm glad I can finally switch back to this pack.

Also, can't wait to see what you do with the mobs. Do you intend on doing them in any specific order?

I know she said she'd start with the animals, I meant was she going to start with pigs, cows, chickens, wolves? Or some other order?

I have no real order in mind, just whatever strikes my fancy! But I want to release them in suitable batches, so I can have stuff like a "farm animal update", an "undead update"... you know, along those lines. :tongue.gif:

I must say im thoroughly impressed. I think the yogscast used it at one point didnt they? Anyway, ill be sure to include it in my videos!

I'm not sure about Yogscast, but I do know that Paulsoaresjr did refer to my texture pack! And I find that very amusing, because it was Paulsoaresjr's videos that convinced me to buy Minecraft. :biggrin.gif:
