OMG! this texture pack is amazing. when i opened it i honestly thought you made a mistake and it was actually 32x. Well done! waiting patiently for the 1.8 update!!:biggrin.gif:
Like I said in my previous post, there is no reason to assume they threw the content lock out of the window. They cannot afford to keep putting in brand new features till the last minute. They will still need to lock down features at some point, so they can make the official release as bug-free as possible.
They said they would lock the features on October 18, I expect that still holds. They're just not coming out with an official update at that time, instead, they're going to do it as a prerelease.
So I fully expect that next week's prerelease will have finalized textures, and further prereleases up to Minecon will be stability updates only.
for the sake of all the waiting fans lets hope it is that way
I love this pack..Im using in 1.8. Default sucks, painterly, photo realism, other packs. I do not like. Only perfect pack for me is this one. :smile.gif: CANT WAIT FOR 1.8 PACK :biggrin.gif: Im hoping you will let it be out next week :biggrin.gif:

I'm curious, between working on this epic texture pack, working on other projects, etc, do you have much time to play minecraft, just to enjoy it, and not just testing out the textures?
The angel piece was painstaking to say at least, I spent about a 100 hours on it. I kid you not! :blink.gif: :laugh.gif:
As for a timelapse, I don't have any recording software, so I would have to look into that.
I've been using debut. There are two versions. The professional and free version. I downloaded a free trial of the professional version that will turn into the free version after a month. It seems to work rather well. Here is an example of a High-res plank tutorial I made.
There is some loss in quality, but not a whole lot and the sound recording is rather nice. :smile.gif:

I know I don't much, maybe an hour a week at most.
@42and19 & Leostereo: Thanks for the info, guys! I'll look into those programs. :smile.gif:
@ChromeShadow: Now with all the update madness, I'm spending every spare minute on the pack! *twitch*
Normally though, I only work on the pack or other personal art on weekends, and during evenings after work, I play games. :smile.gif:

So anyway, this weekend I finished the following parts:

- Blaze rod
- Eye of Ender
- Ender sky
- Ender ground
- Particle field
I still have to do the following:
- Meat products
- Cauldron
- Ender portal
- Potion buff icons
Considering that it takes me about an hour to make a sprite and two hours to make a tile, it's a good chunk of time left!
