Yea, although it is majorly complex, I'm actually looking forwards to the challenge! :biggrin.gif:
Going to need to watch some inspirational movies before I start texturing though. Not sure what colour I should go for either...
Anywho, look forward to seeing yours too, I'm guessing it'll look awesome along with the rest of your mobs!
PS: Are your mobs double res as well? Just out of curiousity...

Okay, here's one model with a fairly similar triangle count. This one stands at 2000 triangles, as opposed to 2500 triangles for a HoopWorld character. The texture is a bit rushed unfortunately, because I ran out of time for the contest it was made for:

@CaduceusGUILT: Thanks! My pack has been around for a few months now, but I guess I'm the quiet type for the most part. XD
@OneManStanding: I'm afraid not. I have some older models laying around, but they're not quite on the same level. As for the amount of sides on limbs, you can get away with less sides the slimmer it gets. A slender woman's arm still looks nice with only 6 sides, but for a burly man I would definitely use more. Also, if you arrange polygons like a geosphere instead of like a grid, it will look more organic and round.
We are being patient, But making a texture pack, you should really be making sure you are keeping the whole community happy, E.G. Release each version of the texture pack (some people stay on old releases for quite a while, some need to wait for mods before updating, some play maps (puzzle/adventure etc) that are not compatible or updated to the newest version)
So in my opinion - If you decide to create a texture pack, deliver to the community what is wanted/needed/expected by making a pack for each version of MC that comes out.
And like I said, 1.9 is getting another pre-release (who knows there could be another 2 or 3) and I understand they are going to stop implementing new features on the 18th (9 days) so thats still a week away. BUT they DID not say thats when a 1.9 will be released, as they said they will stop adding new features, and just work on bug fixes ect. for a smooth full release. So your still looking at a week minimum before a stop in new features, thus the next stable release.
Also like I said before, focus on 1.8 items/textures, THAN 1.9 since its still pre-release.
P.S. Im not trying to sound like an ass hole, or a troll or anything. I'm just trying to get my thoughts and opinions across.
m8 i know this probably is my first post none may know me and none may care what i have to say but you just pissed me off for treating wayuki in that way. just because you are staying in 1.x or w/e other version of minecraft you want to stay in for a while, it doesnt mean that wayuki has the obligation or responsibility to keep you happy and release a 1.x for you. stop being so selfish and recognize that she in fact is the artist and she in fact is the only one that decides what she wants or not to release after all its in her own right. now if you want to express your opinion that she should have a 1.x version please do express it, but dont demand anything of her for that exceeds your rights.
That's a very silly thing to say, that's basically like saying that all of your art belongs to them even when its irrelevant to their products, kind of like if a professional sports player weren't allowed to play their sport in their free time for fun.
I am interested in what projects your art has/will be in though.
you would be surprised at the amount of professional football (soccer) players that cannot play their sport for fun due to many contract limitations.
anyways wayuki your textures rock there is only one thing i would change to it, i would put the window/glass panes with only an exterior frame, but thats just me that likes looking out windows with unobstructed view :tongue.gif:
They should still be locking down the content early next week, at which point they wouldn't be doing any new textures, just bugfixes. So whatever prerelease comes out with the content lock, I will consider a "full release". :smile.gif:

Like I said in my previous post, there is no reason to assume they threw the content lock out of the window. They cannot afford to keep putting in brand new features till the last minute. They will still need to lock down features at some point, so they can make the official release as bug-free as possible.
They said they would lock the features on October 18, I expect that still holds. They're just not coming out with an official update at that time, instead, they're going to do it as a prerelease.
So I fully expect that next week's prerelease will have finalized textures, and further prereleases up to Minecon will be stability updates only.

The character skin and armor sets are double res. I haven't made any other mob skins yet. :laugh.gif:
