Hey guys! Sorry for my absence. I had to get away from it for a bit, and I've been sick as well. I'll get back to the pack shortly!
As for the compass orientation on the map, it's oriented correctly for where the sun rises and sets! So for instance, if you turn your character so that he faces west according to the map, lo and behold, that's where you'll see the sun set. :tongue.gif:
i love you pack, it even makes me lag less than the defuld one and the normal resolution packs like painterly. looking forward to when the painting's and the other stuf are done. btw. my i ask if this is inspired bu ancient norway and the areas around?
Hello! I'm from the Lostcraft server, and we're planning on making a sort of "standardized pack" for our players. Wayukian's definitely the best I've found (I still can't believe it's only 16x16 o.O) and if you didn't mind, I'd like to use a goodly number of your pack's textures in the compilation. The pack itself is ready to go, but I wanted to get permission before I put it on our main page :happy.gif: You'll get credit, of course, and since so much of the pack comes directly from here, I'd also like to link to your thread as a sort of "secondary texture pack" in case someone doesn't like the compilation pack. We're using most of the mobs/armors/gui (with some minor tweaks), and around half the terrain.png. Would you be alright with it?
Congratulations on the awesome pack, by the way!

Ask me about giant, Canadian, zombie-steampunk tyrannosaurus rexes.
I own one, and her name is Cuddlemuffins.
@Leostereo While we are all waiting for an update from Wayuki, I just was wondering if you had any more tutorials coming out . I love them :biggrin.gif:
Wow AMAZING texture pack its honestly one of the best ive EVER seen but one qestion. How did you get an HD skin? i noticed in the shots of armour. ive been trying to find out but i just cant find anything about it anywhere.
I am having issues with my Wayukian texture pack and i really want to see it for my self. If anyone has any advice I will be glad to take some just reply to me on how to do it and if it works then thank you very much if it does work
This texture pack is sexy. One thing I don't like is the potions for health, it seems a bit... much. Oh well. This texture pack is quite awesome, just change the potions to something else and it's perfect.
I've been working on the hud and some icons. Nothing big enough for a release yet, but I just wanted to show that I've been doing... stuff. :smile.gif:
I did a couple of more items than shown here, but they didn't fit in the quickbar. XD
Hmmm.
Nice :smile.gif:
This looks like the painterly pack a bit :/
But its still awesome. As this pack its, a bit of painterly, a bit of new, a bit of other stuff I dont know.
Agreeable?
I'll download this :smile.gif:
I have to ask, is this a re-make of painterly?
I would be shot if this comment got 1000 replies hating me :/

Downgrade To Alpha - Beta 17.3 CANT GET ANY BETTER!
I'm not sure what the problem is for my, but the water texture seems to have stopped working, and I really loved the water texture. I am using the HD Patcher so I'm not sure what the issue is.
I start by picking the midtone. Then when picking the highlight shades, I tend to shift the hue a bit, usually towards yellow. And then for the shadows, I tend to shift the hue towards purple.
At times though, I may randomly decide to shift the hue towards colors other than yellow and purple. On colors that are close to gray or black, I often like to push the highlights towards cyan instead, for the shadows I may use brown before going towards purple.
On colors that are supposed to read as gray, I will never use straight grays, always a slight color. For instance, you could use a blue tinge on a gray palette. In that case though, it tends to read as a muted blue palette instead of gray. So if you randomly change some of the shades to be brownish instead, it will neither read as brown, nor as blue. The impression is that it's gray, when in fact it has a lot of color.
I hope that helps a bit! Basically it's part technique, part informed randomness. :laugh.gif:

Curse PremiumSome textures can be resized without needing to be patched.
I would give you credit, of course.
