I think it looks fine considering the limitations. On large bodies of water, the texture gets tiled so much it's impossible to avoid repetitive patterns. The only thing you could do, is simply removing most of the contrast. But, that wouldn't work with the style of my texture pack, which is detailed and contrasted.
As for the diamond armor, unfortunately I can't do a straight conversion to a normal skin. This is because on the armor sets, the sleeves and torso overlap a great deal. This causes an annoying flickering effect. To fix it, I made the overlapping parts have the same texture design on them. But because of that, it wouldn't work as a normal skin anymore.

Hmm, but will it work if I use that mod that allows you to wear hi-def skins?
I just saw the armors, and the water, I have to say, that the colors are great in many ways, they all make a beautiful matching that is just an enjoyment to play with. Also, about the water, I honestly think its fine the way its is, just animate it as you go along, although. Lava may be a little bit harder then water, mainly because of the colors and animating, but I'm sure you will find a way to make it work, keep it up!

This is a problem I have with the water in my pack, and my pack has even more contrast. I just ignore it though because it can't be fixed without lowering the contrast so much that the art suffers. I just chalk it up to Minecraft lacking proper filtering for distant objects though. Most textures tend to suffer at a distance.
@MetroFan180: The problem isn't caused by the resolution. It's caused by the armor model, not the armor skin. Check out any lowres armor set with full sleeves in the game, and you'll also see the flickering problem I'm talking about. It's because the arms overlap with the torso on the armor, but not on the character. If you wear my armor as a skin, you'll see a strange repeating design in the armpit area. I would have to rework it quite a bit if I wanted to turn it into a usable skin.
@Dusty: Agreed. I wish Notch would add mipmapping, that would look much nicer.
If you make that as a 16x16 icon, it would end up looking pretty much exactly like the default. There's not much point to doing a texture pack if you're going to make it look just like the default.
The lava and water are not yet animated. I'll aim to update the pack to the new Minecraft version as fast as time allows, so I don't expect to have the animation ready for the 1.6 release. However, it will be the next thing I'm going to work on! :smile.gif:
Made an account here just to say how awesome this texture pack is. Been using it for a while now and I love how it reminds me of the games I played on the SNES (big fan of old-school games). It's not just the fact that they're low-res, it's the art style as a whole.
Keep up the good work! I can't wait for the update.
Do you have an expected time of release? Also, when i said i think you should change the diamond, it just doesn't match the Diamond block in my opinion, but it is your pack, you can do whatever you want with it.
Just Reread the page, So, now i know you expect to get it out tomorrow.
*Bump* because I really like this pack and I think its awesome
Wayuki thanks for releasing such a high quality 16x16 pack.. I really like it and looking forward for the update (specially the armor hehe) does the update include textures for mobs?
It is out now! You can get it from the first post. :smile.gif:
Here's a preview of the map:
@ lijhie008: Sorry, I didn't get to the mobs yet. The next things I'll be working on will be animations for water and lava, custom portals, custom fire and the GUI. After that I will do the mobs! :wink.gif:
Finally! :biggrin.gif: Nice armors.. due to the current 1.6_5 update (caught me by surprise and i pressed the update button :dry.gif:)... I cant use TooManyItems and have to gather my armor materials legit. So the only armor I can easily try for now is obviously leather :tongue.gif:
My verdict so far:
-Armors look great.. specially the diamond armor :cool.gif: >.<
-The helmet is kinda blocky and big on the corners, for my taste :tongue.gif: I suggest that you lessen the size and maybe making the corners a bit smoother.. except the diamond helmet that fits the style perfectly. haha
this are just suggestions. This is your pack and you can do anything to it.
Thanks again for the pack, This is my number 1 :smile.gif:

Can you make a version of the diamond armor that you can wear as a skin? :ohmy.gif:

I'm working on the update now, but I will only be able to really get stuff done on the weekend. Hopefully I will have things done on Saturday!
