So many new textures, so much potential. Can't wait to see what Wayuki does with coal block, hardened clay, coloured clay, and of course the horses, when time allows. ;]
I love this pack, it has been my favorite since i started playing back in 1.7. i love that you keep working on this and how far this has come. i just wish there was a bit more variety in the animals. everything else is amazing. im just tired of seeing the same pig and cow every time. it's not a big deal, i just used yours and messed with the colors a bit and tried adding a few markings like spots, came out ok but i would love to see what you would come up with. sorry if this sounds a bit nit picky, probably is, just a small critique of your incredible texture pack. oh and if someone could make a full Terrafirma Craft and thaumcraft add-on, i would be in heaven.
First and foremost, your texture pack is great! I really its feel and magicalness.
That said, I feel like the quartz blocks look too much like stone blocks.
Even though I tried to whiten them myself, the result was less than good. Is there any possibility, in the future, that you would create an alternate white version of the quartz blocks?
Keep up the great work,
Sincerely.
yeah i think so too. it just doesn't have the shininess does it?
wayuki, i think you should brighten the quartz blocks in the next update for the pack

IMO, I feel the quartz shade is appropriate for the darker ambiance of the pack. I think Wayuki is expanding on a style that started with the stone slab, and that mixes well with the lapis block and the dispenser/dropper. And besides, it's easy enough to manuslly open the pngs in an image editor (like Photoshop or Gimp) and raise the brightness and contrast, and even migrate them over to newer packs. Easy stuff.
Looks great Wayuki! Absolutely no complaints here.

Could someone explain how to install some of the mod support textures? Dragging them into the Wayukian texture pack rar doesn't actually seem to do anything for me and I'd really love to use these cool mod textures

Ixaxar is entirely correct. The main theme behind Wayuki's style is to give minecraft the feeling of those classic darker-toned rpgs. When considering the shade applied to that particular block, a lot of consideration goes into how it'll blend with the other decorative blocks. In addition, the color comes from "milky quartz", which is a bit more solidified than the other concentrations of the quartz mineral, and as it's surrounded by heat and eventually pressed into brick, this variant seems appropriate. On a side note, remember that a texture pack, to the artist, is an expression of themselves. To ask for your expression to replace what is already there, would completely remove the unique personality of this pack. While community-driven creations can turn out just as beautiful, I don't believe it would work well with this pack in particular.
On a completely separate note, as the administrator of the official Wayukian server, I'd like to give you all a sneak preview of what's coming in the 1.6 update of the Wayukian pack! As of now, all of the new blocks are completed. She's currently working on the horses and armor, but this is a huge undertaking for all texture artists, simply because of the sheer amount of textures and the speed of the release. So, without further adieu. . .
Here is a few shots of the hardened clay. First up, a display of all color options of the hardened clay, and secondly, a close up of the hardened clay texture itself.
Next, the hay bales. I personally like this block best out of the new textures.
The coal block is a bit dark, and so I placed it in a white room to make the shading really pop. This one is stunning.
Lastly, the carpets. They use the same texture as the wool.
In addition to all this, the brick textures have been altered slightly to make the grout blend a bit better. I'll have more previews to show as soon as things are completed.
Hey guys, love the Pack, been using it for a damn long time now Even have done some editing to it like leaves and grass blowing in the wind along with laughing pumpkin animations, etc. I might do it myself one day but I'm not really sure how, so i'd like to make a suggestion... Would it be possible for you guys to make the wool and carpets ctm? I like to use the wool as fancy decorations but they look so blocky. Would be cool if they all blended nicely into a shape and had the dark outline around the edges of the collective shape. I hope I'm not being to vague about my request.
Maybe I missied it, but does anyone have a link to the 1.4.7 version? I would looove to use this texture pack for my FTB launcher, but I can't seem to find a legit download of that version
Never mind! Found one off a youtube video. Apologies!

^ This is a great place to look for older versions of texture packs. Often time, texture pack artists won't keep up with their outdated packs, but sites like this one compile texture packs for every version release. Just for any future trouble you may have with finding one.

Hello dere, just wanted to pop in and say this is a magnificent pack! Using it in conjunction with Johnsmith for my FTB, and absolutely loving it. Mobs are so much more vibrant and varied. Thanks for creating this beautiful pack! A fellow Malaysian.
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around. I've been insanely busy lately, but I'm plugging away at the update as much as I can.
For the past two weekends, I've been working on the horse. One version down... only three and a half billion to go! Or that's what it seems like, at least. Between all the different horse versions and its armor sets, I expect to be stuck working on this for the next two and a half months, gah!

Anyway, here it is. Tastes just like raisins!
-snip-
Damn, I looked at your horse and it was amazing!
Seriously nice horse though, and nice to see that you're still around even if less so than before. I think many texture artists are starting to drop out of the texturing loop a little now, me included. Real life sure is getting busy!

Gorgous textures as always, horrible models haha. Best textures in the world can't fix the creepy horse mouths!

Get on my horse, I'll take you around the universe. Shut up woman, get on my horse.
Thanks for the comments guys, I glad you like them so far. Lots more to be done!
I say 1/100 horses should be a pirate horse. Peglegs, eyepatch and bandana... I mean, it's only fitting as in my opinion the horses already look like they have peglegs.

Wayuki's schedule can be a bit packed at times. So, I posted the previews to save her some time, since I usually linger around these forums daily.
What'd you have in mind?
