I use Photoshop to edit the textures, and I use 3dsMax to preview the textures in 3d. To that end, I've recreated the 3d models for most Minecraft characters using 3dsMax. The mob pictures you see in the thread are renders from 3dsMax.
This is one of the few texture packs that I would actually use It looks incredible, especially for being 16x, it would be so cool if you could add support for my mods but its still awesome without it
Asking to know if there is an variation to this pack with less extreme terrain colors, the difference between normal grass and swamp is just too much in my opinion.
Every once in a while I look for new texture packs, hoping to find something decent, occasionally I do, but am unsatisfied with certain aspects. I think this may have just eliminated my need for a new one, absolutely impressed.
The colors work together nicely, the contrast is great and your ability to 'imply' detail is stunning. I love what you did with sandstone as well. Before, sandstone was kind of a no-go with me, because I simply didn't care for its appearance in default, or with any of my previous texturepacks. Overall the blocks are pretty typical of what I'd expect from a texture pack, but that doesn't mean they aren't well done.
As for the mobs, that feels like a completely different story. They all seem to have more character now, especially the villagers. Although some of the mobs seem pretty ordinary to me; the Endermen, Villagers, Creepers and Slimes all have a certain 'charm' to them.
TL;DR
Good work, I'm definitely using this, and will recommend this to future players who are looking for a good texturepack.
You guys think this is good enough to be my server texture pack ?
Need you ask? I've used this pack for at least a year now. Best pack I've ever found, and if you read through the tread, you'll quickly find out I'm not the only one.
Wow. I can really say that this is an amazing texture pack! Mobs, items, blocks! It's all wonderful! There are a few minor things that still need to be added like pictures and wither. Otherwise it's amazing!
I like the pack a lot but my two gripes are the signs and the wool. The signs, as others have mentioned, have too wide of borders. I would not mind no border to fix this. My issue with the wool is its borders as well. When building largely wool based buildings, it is very patterned and not-so-pleasant to look at versus a more unified appearance. Have you ever considered adding ctm support for wool as well so that the edges blend together? That would be fantastic. At the moment I am playing with a version of this texturepack where I use my own wool, ideally this is how I would want my servers texture pack to be but I would need to aquire permission first.
Very nice work Wayuki.
"Yeah, it's made of AWESOMENESS!"

Now that 1.4.4 is out, I'm assuming the pack remains compatible, as it's mostly a bugfix release?
