Please note: This texture pack is designed for map makers. It's about looks rather than function. I don't plan on releasing a version of this pack intended for normal gameplay.
Paintings changed. Torches are now fluorescent tubes. Levers are changed. Stacked chests look like lockers (I might change that back). Support for the BetterGlass mod.
I'm designing a map for the Portal Gun Mod, and I decided that I wanted a texture pack a little more custom and design-oriented than carlotta4th's Precisely Portal pack, so I made my own. It's a WIP and is based on carlotta4th's, but I will eventually replace every block.
This pack is limiting in a way. Cobble and stone are designed to be stacked on top of each other when making walls, and don't tile too well alone. Glowstone looks like it runs across the bottom of a block, making it unusable for floors, but great for trim along them. Wood looks like floor on the top and bottom, but on the side looks like one of three wall pieces, making it possible to have floor-topped pillars and platforms.
Feel free to make suggestions. I read every post and I want to make this appeal to as many map makers as possible.

How did you get the walls to look like 1x2 blocks? it looks great!
It's something really clever that carlotta4th or Cosine came up with. Smooth stone looks like the top piece and cobble looks like the bottom. With the default pack all the walls would look like this:

Yeah. This pack is mainly designed for people who want to make nice-looking Portal themed dungeons. Wood, for example, is floor on top and wall on the side. You can see the effect in most of the screenshots above.

A suggestion: I would like you to try and make a wooden pressure plate look like a red button, to do this the wooden block would become a casualty and basically un-usable because it would look like an awkward red block, but for the feel of portal it may be necessary
just a suggestion, I hope you understand what I meant.
The only problem with that is that I use both buttons and fences a lot. If I were to make buttons red, fences would become red too. Rooms like the ones in the third and fourth screenshots would become a lot less interesting. I'll look at making a replacement for fences, though.

Pumpkins could be the energy sphere launcher thingy. And soul sand could be the receiver thingy.
If not, soul sand could be a degraded paneling (like when you escape into the wrecked facility)
Can someone make turrets two blocks high. One flower could be the bottom, other one could be the top.
Korimito can you please, please fix the paintings. They are so annoying.

I was thinking pumpkins could have an arrow on top. It'd rotate with the pumpkin, allowing me to give directions on the floor. I want to use soul sand for puzzles. I haven't figured out quite how to yet. I know I said I was going for looks over function, but with special blocks, sometimes function is just as important.
Anyway, what's wrong with the paintings?

I need an idea for chests that look like they're from Aperture. Just a white box with the logo? Also, In an effort to make wooden pressure plates more "button-y", I created this monster. What do you think?

Version 3 out! Planks are now red to accommodate better looking Aperture Science Supercolliding Super Buttons. To compensate for not having fence poles anymore, clay has been retectured to look somewhat like a metal piston.

I'm working on some art for v4. I want to give mappers the ability to better direct players to the right objectives, and to help them better differentiate between what is an objective and what is not.
