Alright I guess I should talk on this before anyone else decides ive abandoned this.
NO. I have NOT abandoned this project. I have been rather busy with real life things lately, and when i have been having free time ive been playing other games, trying to enjoy the free time I do have.
I understand you all would like to see this updated, so I will do my best to update it soon. I still dont have a shovel or a hoe model, so dont expect those next update, ill work on making them myself when ive got a good bit of time to sit down with.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Your friendly neighborhood Kingpin here...
Great work on the item sprites and the GUI.png. And beautiful choices for the in-game art. I personally have always used 16x more than any others. But, after seeing the textures i mentioned i will be keeping an eye on this one.
Still doesn't work, tried with mc patcher and tried manually and tried just putting the zip file in texturepacks.
Any idea?????
I havent played much since 1.5, but the last time I got on I think what I had to do was use the beta version of the patcher to make it work. Ill look into it myelf some soon, but im not much of a modder, so no promises on being able to help, if it works for me and not for you youll have to take your issue to someone who knows more, sorry.
EDIT: also, I have noticed since 1.5 the icons now look rather pixelated. Ive been assuming that nobody else is having this issue as ive heard no complaints. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, please speak up so I can work as fast as possible to try to fix it for you all.
EDIT again: I decided that I was bothered by the pixelation too bad so i unpatched and repatched with the new version patcher, so that fixed it for me. so yeah anyone with similar issues try doing that. Also posted link to patcher that may fix it, im not 100% sure if old one will not work now or what the issue is.
Alright guys, I know I said I was not going to abandon this, but my plans have changed alot since then. I dont play minecraft much anymore, and beyond trying to make new items everytime there is an update, theres not much else I can do to change this, as I have no mob or terrain ideas.
I appologize for not getting to finish this, I had really set out with big plans for it. Its been fun, and all I ask if you pick it up is that you post that you have picked it up on here for people to see and to credit Sodio with the original work, and me with some version patching.
Maybe one day ill come back to minecraft and find the guy who took this up next and see how his works gone, till then, keep on mining.
Update, kinda. Well, lets call it a personal update.
I have now included a link to the download through AdF.ly as a way to download and show your support of the pack at the same time. In good faith the original link will remain so you arent required to use AdF.ly, but I greatly appreciate any support I get.
Have you done all the gui yet since while u were away I've done all but the despenser.
All I have done, as per my return, is put in the items that were added(shears, map, fishing rod with no string)
If you have done work to the pack that you would like me to see about, I wouldnt mind taking a look at what you have got done.
These are pretty nice, the only thing I didnt like that I saw was the custom arrow and flame icons on the furnace, but other than that it fit the pack very well. If you grant me permision I think I will use some of these in the pack the next time I sit down to do some editing. I will credit you as the creator of the parts that I use, if granted permision of course.

Looking forward to the 'meat and potatoes' of this texture pack (terrain.png). As always the GUI looks great as well as the sprites. Keep up the good work.
If you are in the market for a couple of new mobs for Minecraft, check out FISHY and LoafCat. Are you planning on supporting any mods? Would love to see what your take is on my projects. Link is in my sig.

Im noticing a recuring theme here lol. As I had addressed in the main post, I have no imediate plans for textures.
I get that this is a "texture pack" and really should have them, but monster hunter in all honesty wasnt that simple of a world, and I dont feel like I could do much justice to it on block textures.
I think a clean HD texture thats rather similar to the original look of minecraft(no idea what current textures fit the bill) would probably go best in combination with the monster hunter style.
So for now if you would like diferent textures, you will just have to place another packs terrain file in your local copy of the Monster Hunter zip file so it can run off that. Sorry but I just dont see me making a good texture for this any time soon, though I will continue to strive to make the GUI and icons look the best I can.
UPDATE 1.2.1
Guys I am SO sorry about this, I just learned while playing that I had made an error in my placement for the shears icon in the inventory picture, so it was not showing up in the game.
I have now relocated the icon to its correct spot and have uploaded a new download file of the fixed version.
Again, I am so very sorry about doing that, and I hope it didnt cause anyone any inconvienence.

Okay guys I have started work on V1.3 of the theme.
The planned additions are as follows:
New "monster hunter like" hoe icon
Container GUI
Crafting Table GUI
Furnace GUI(having trouble making this line up correctly, may be delayed to a later version of 1.3 if the others get done and its being a pain)
Possibly a new shovel icon(I want to change it in adition to the hoe, but I have no idea what to make it look like)
I wont state an expected drop date or even an estimation, since I always take longer to do this than I think when I set down a date.
Just expect to see it in the near future.
Hey, I like the work that you done so far. ^^ But i couldn't stand the way the Pickaxe looked. So I redone it... Though I'm not sure about the position... (You might have to fix that...) I grant you permission, if you want to use it. ~ If not - cool too.
These are interesting, and they are very clean, alot cleaner than what I have been using in the pack. This is good work, and I am working on incorporating this in now. I just have one question about this if you dont mind, did you draw this entirely by hand or copy the image from somewhere and then edit it? I just ask because mine was based off a image of the icon directly from monster hunter, but came out "rounded" at the handle divisions, whiles yours seems very squared off and clean.
I mostly ask because if you drew this yourself I would like to know the program you used. I mostly use photoshop for my editing, but its constant leftover opacity causes alot of problems in minecraft textures, and im looking for a better program to work with.

I got back into minecraft thanks to my friend working on a rpg/puzzle map and I looked up my pack to find no one had picked it up to my knowledge.
As such I have updated my pack to work with 1.7(i think, if it doesnt work let me know)
Now get out there and grab the new version! Donate via adfly link:http://adf.ly/2Cb3s
