I've been looking through the forums (and search is still disabled) and noticed that there's no individual paintings files. So I created this thread to act as a place to put seperate painting files for various resolutions within reach of the community. I'll update this post with the download links (I reserve the right to refuse to add a paintings file to this list).
If you're callin' about the Mobtalker scripts, I no longer have access to them.
However, it's been getting tempting lately to put together a modpack that includes CustomNPCs, so I could definitely work in something along the same themes in the modpack's quests. Feel free to give suggestions of mods that promote an experience which minimizes mining grind in favor of exploration. I'll likely have to include Grimorie of Gaia to provide good models (No I'm not gonna directly change the default mob models)
Seeing as there's no replies yet, I'll start off with the beginnings of my custom paintings file. The idea I'm going with is peices to use in ruins, temples and a few peices for the home.
Presenting: Nether Homes and Ruins V1.

Got a nice peice on the boil for Nether Homes and Ruins V2, think Andy Warhol.

i would like to make my own art pak but where can i find a blank grid like that with no pictures on it so i can start fresh?
I just rectangle-select the paintings when I need to remove them and clear the area inside the select.

Here's my offering of utilitarian style paintings from Glimmar's Steampunk. Best used with the texture pack I'm afraid.
I try not to see paintings as just flat decoration, but useful textures for enhancing epic builds...hence the pipes, chains, machinary, control panels, etc. Most stained glass looks better with glowstones as backing...so they look illuminated at night.
If something looks flat when placed on the surface of a wall, like the steam engines, try setting them into an alcove and use some dramatic lighting...particularly effective for statues too. This trick limits your field of view and stops you from seeing a painting from the side, which destroys the illusion that something is 3-dimensional. :smile.gif:
I wish we could have even more paintings to play around with...well you can, here:

Punch-a-Pic is a useful mod for quickly selecting which painting you want on the wall and an absolute necessity when using the Xtreme Art mod.
