A while ago, Norwegian Soldier made a thread about a request for an all default 16x16 texture pack that simply had nicer cobblestone. I accomplished that request and have decided to create an individual thread for it. Two versions exist: one with bricked cobblestone, and the other with simple, smoother cobblestone. These are by no means amazing, and in fact, could be much better. I suppose this will fit someone's niche, as it did for Norwegian Soldier.
That is some fine ****ing bricks, I saw you used PDN in the other thread, but how did you create that pattern? What plugin did you use?
I just used the pencil tool to create the bricks and the Add Noise effect. :smile.gif:
In retrospect, it could be improved a bit because I now see a line that goes straight across and is easily noticeable tiling.

I always underestimate the pencil tool, and I don't think anyone can ever truly escape the tiling, but you did a damned good job of it, downloaded.
They look nice but they don't look like minecraft. Also, trying a less abstract pattern for the bricks might help too. make sure to shade as well.
The idea was to shoot for simplicity. I suppose shading could be beneficial, but I enjoy the abstract brick pattern. It differentiates cobblestone blocks from brick blocks.

If you need anything else (graphics-wise), please let me now with a post here.
If you need help installing the skin, I can help with that, too.
So long,
