DISCLAIMER: The FalloutCraft texture pack is based on 'Last Days' by Doku/History. It has been modified to better fit the Fallout theme. We claim no ownership of these textures, nor the Fallout name.
The year is 2284. It has been over 200 years since The Great War that brought about a devastating nuclear apocalypse, and destroyed the world we once knew.
Civilization has collapsed; what remains of the civilized world struggles with the many dangers of the Wasteland. Raiders, thieves, and mutated animals threaten our very existence. The only hope for the human race relies on the remaining survivors of this monumental disaster.
The story takes place three years after the events of Fallout: New Vegas. You awaken in the Wasteland after being mugged by a band of raiders. You are stripped of all your caps and belongings, and are forced to start anew. Will you rise through the ranks to help rebuild this once-great nation? Will you form a band of thieves to capitalize on the chaos and anarchy? Or will you set up a humble and peaceful trading outpost?
Welcome to FalloutCraft:
This texture pack/mod completely changes the look and feel of Minecraft. Me and a friend of mine were planning on using this as the texture pack of choice for a Fallout-themed server we were making (also called FalloutCraft), but due to how buggy certain mods are that we required, we've decided to just release this. Included in this pack is everything you need to get up and running; which are:
*UPDATE*
It was brought to my attention the guns were slightly pointed down, and I also realized the crosshair was messed up. V1.1 fixes these issues. To install without having to go through all the steps again, simply overwrite the sdk folder in the minecraft.jar (with the new one found in SDK's mods > minecraft) and drag and drop all the contents of the lost days.zip into the minecraft.jar as well.
Changelog
V1.1 - Fixed crosshair/rotated a few guns.
V1.0 - First release.
Installation Instructions (also included in the pack):
=Installing the textures=
1. Open mcpatcher located in the main directory of this pack.
2. Ensure that your minecraft.jar is in both original AND output.
3. Check off the box labeled texture pack and browse for the last days.zip file located in the pack
4. Make sure the tile size is 32x32, and to check all the boxes below EXCEPT high-res font.
5. Click patch, and it should load the textures into your game.
=Installing the sounds=
1. Make sure you have a backup of your minecraft.jar file!!
2. Open your minecraft.jar file with a program like WinRAR or 7zip.
3. Delete the META-INF folder from the archive.
4. Drag the class file in the sound mod folder into the open archive.
5. Open the "Last Days Audio" zip file located in this pack.
6. Move the resources folder into your .minecraft folder. Over-write all the files when prompted.
=Installing the guns=
1. Backup your minecraft.jar
2. Open the ModLoader folder in the zip, and drag/drop all the contents into your minecraft.jar by opening it with a zip program. (Delete the meta-inf folder if you haven't already)
3. Copy everything inside the minecraft folder (in the zip file) into minecraft.jar (in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
4. Copy everything inside the resources folder (in the zip file) into the resources folder (in %appdata%\.minecraft)
5. Ignore patch.properties, it's just for TFC's Mod Manager
6. If there's a mod_*.properties file in the zip, copy it into the bin folder (%appdata%\.minecraft\bin)
Special Thanks -- Doku/History for the foundation of a great texture pack (Last Days), SDK for the excellent Gun/items mod, Glimmar for his steampunk items/a few blocks, Risugami for ModLoader, epinull for SoundLoader, Xau for McPatcher, and Mojang for Minecraft!
When i saw this I actually only was interested in the guns for SDK mod, and they look really good. The only problem is: you should turn the angle of the guns a bit. Now the are pointed to the ground while the bullets go straight forward. If you will change this, I will hapilly use them.
You basically took all the textures from Last Days.
Nice job, stealer.
EDIT: Didn't notice the credits, sorry. It's alright, albeit too similar to Last Days.
And History took textures from Doku's pack. What's your point? Credit was paid where credit was due.
Instead of being negative and judging things at first glance, load up both packs up and compare the two -- tehsam and I feel we have made some changes to the texture pack that really fit in with the Fallout theme. While Doku/History have created a great foundation, some things just didn't work for us (a lot of textures were too dark, some had little resemblance to their vanilla counterparts, etc.).
Both tehsam and I have the utmost respect for people who put the time/effort into making these texture packs. We do not claim full ownership of anything -- this is a fan project which uses resources from multiple packs/mods to help create a more complete Fallout-like experience. While it is based on the 'Last Days' texture pack, I think you'll find that the changes we've made improve the overall look/feel of post-apocalyptia.
You are entitled to your opinion, of course. Just please read the entire post before making snap judgments/observations.
i saw Nuka-Cola pictures and downloaded it. but im having those "how bout you just come over here and do it yourself for me" moments... cause i have a mac. please help, unless you can just compress everything and then put into a texturepacks folder. that would be nice.
and btw, what happened with the gold blocks? its like a fire/dirt/soulsand/sand block... and the fire lest me see through things.

Now that I look at this, the pictures ARE nice, albeit blurry and pixelated. The guns are excellent aswell, I hope you can add more original material later! Kudos!

Sounds like the textures weren't installed right. Be sure to use mcpatcher. My apologies for not including the mac version of it. Link for the mcpatcher thread - viewtopic.php?t=46173

yeah, i did the mcpatcher before, but it just screws up my game. i repeated the process with the same results. it patches halfway, then the patcher freezes. i posted this patcher problem to the topic, but the guy doesnt respond. actually, youre the first to respond to me. ever.

Although you did take most of this from the Last Days pack...
(ignore my old post, is irrelevant now, seen the special thanks part)

Should be fixed now, and thanks :smile.gif:.

I might try it once it has less of a "futuristic post-apocalypse" and more of a "fallout" feel.
