I am getting sick and tired of seeing everyone say "Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
1 Million times.
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
You see what i mean? now lets clean all this "Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there." Mess.
I'd say use the search, but well you can't right now. :/
So here is a link to a thread with the ENTIRE default texture in pack form. viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=180182

Hopefully all of the "Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there." Mess will stop spreading everywhere!
Extracting the jar file gives you full access to the entire collection of textures used in Minecraft.
Yeah, it's just like the saying goes:
"Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life"
Or something along those lines...
