I am getting sick and tired of seeing everyone say "Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."

1 Million times.

"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."
"Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there."

You see what i mean? now lets clean all this "Open minecraft.jar, get it out of there." Mess.

Yes, however if you "open minecraft.jar and get it out of there", you also get EVERY other texture too.

Extracting the jar file gives you full access to the entire collection of textures used in Minecraft.

Also, by extracting the files from minecraft.jar, you can be absolutely positive which version the files are for. (The version you are using)

Rather than giving people something they want, it's better to teach them how to get it for themselves.

Yeah, it's just like the saying goes:

Why don't you just open minecraft.jar and get it out of there? Seems more reliable and thorough to me.

Whats so bad about opening minecraft.jar or saying where it is?
And minecraft.jar has ALL the textures.
