These texture packs all feature default graphics, but when you equip a pumpkin as a helmet, your HUD changes to make it easier to see in the dark- night vision. There are five different colors to choose from and some work better than others. Please note that how well one works for you depends largely on your brightness, contrast and gamma settings. While the grey night vision pack might be best for you, the white night vision pack might work even better for someone else because they have different settings. You should check out each of the screenshots to see which one will work best for you.
To put night vision into a different texture pack, cut the Misc folder into any other texture pack, as long as it doesn't already have a Misc folder of its own. If it does already have a folder titled "Misc" inside of it, then ONLY copy pumpkinblur.png inside my texture pack's Misc folder and paste it over to the Misc folder of the texture pack you want it in.
If you're having trouble with any of the above download links, here are some alternate links for you. White.Grey.Green.Gold.

"I installed the pack, why don't I have night vision as soon as I log in? / I haven't logged in to use the pack yet, but how do I turn it on/off without having to switch texture packs?"
Equip/Unequip a pumpkin in the slot where you'd normally equip a helmet.
"I'm not sure how to install the texture pack!"
Don't worry, it's easy; instructions can be found in the readme.txt provided. But, if you're here and reading this anyway:
1: Go to C:\document and settings\[Your Name]\Application Data\.minecraft\texturepacks in Windows XP or C:\Users\[Your Name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks in Windows 7/Vista.
2: Cut this entire .zip folder to the texturepacks folder under .minecraft. Make sure that you DON'T extract the files! Again, you're NOT supposed to remove the files from this .zip folder! Cut the ENTIRE FOLDER and paste it into the above location.
3: Close the folder, start up the game, log in.
4: Under "Mods & Texture Packs," select this texture pack, then click "Done."
5: Enjoy!
"I own a Mac! What do I do?"
Follow the steps listed here after downloading the texture pack/packs you want.
"I cut and pasted the contents of the folder to the "texturepacks" folder. Why isn't it showing up under Mods & Texture Packs after I start the game?"
You're not supposed to do that- you need to cut and paste the entire .zip folder, WITHOUT extracting its contents, to the texturepack folder.
"Four colors to choose from are great and all, but why'd you leave out other common colors like black, red, violet and blue?"
Black was just ridiculous. I was expecting it to have at least a small effect towards adding night vision, but it had no effect whatsoever. It's just too dark a color to use to brighten up your screen. As for red, violet and blue, I actually used those three. But they turned out to be, er.. Well, they're outright terrible, just like black. Too dark to have much of an effect.
Theshrimpy, you can make work with other texture pack, just copy the pumpkin blur inside the misc folder and paste on misc folder of the texture pack of your choice.
Might be a stupid question... But does it work WITH any other texture packs? Or does it only work with default?

If anyone who's used any of these packs before reads this, could you let me know what you think about the one you used, and offer any suggestions as to what you'd like to see improved? Thanks!

Curse PremiumIs that so?
=]
that's a **** move bro. also it's has not have.
Anyway cool texture pack, but you might want to get the border a little more smoothier.
it's better to be self-made than outright stolen from another game. i think it looks more smoothierestly enough as it is.
op, you may be a massive faggot but at least you make your **** yourself. i'll give you that.
Mod edit: warned for flaming
