HELP! I am having trouble with minecraft quitting (on a Mac) and I think this may be related to my texture pack trouble and I think they may be related. First of all I can't quit minecraft unless I force quit it, if I hit 'quit minecraft' nothing happens, I looked up this problem and people said to X out the window, but then when I do that it freezes and I have to restart my computer. I have dleted my bin and redownloaded numerous times, it still happens.

Next I am using MCpatcher and I want to use Misa's 64 realistic texture pack, I hit browse, select the zip file and hit the patch button, it usually stops at 24% or so and this is the log......

I think the most important part is where in the middle of the log it says 'error in opening zip file'. Please help me figure out what is causing these problems and if they are related or not. Thanks

I have this same problem, and I'm just using the regular vanilla textures. There's something weird about the macbooks and java, because I seem to recall having a similar problem with other applications in the past.
