I don't currently own the game yet, or even have a way to make a higher resolution skin (or any skin) so I have no way to test it, and I've already asked in the skins forum with no answer so far, and I was told to try here so... Can I set my skin to 32x32 without any mods?
Currently, you can't do it online. But you can replacea texture pack or the jar's char.png with the 32x32 skin, so if you play offline, you'll see that skin.
