If you havent already, Try to make the sandstone smoother, somewhat like flagstone stacked upon one another, I think that'll be a great addition. Along with my older post. A warmer texture pack, instead of blues and greens maybe oranges and yellows. Just an idea anyways loving the pack.
I AM BEGGING YOU TO MAKE THE IRON INTO SILVER also I give you 5/5 "oh no a popped out"
What do you mean make it into silver? Referring to the iron blocks and bars themselves or the ores?

I am working on re-texturing some of the things that don't tile well, including grass top.
I also want to bring in a new foliage/grass color scheme that is slightly different.
I am going to tighten up the sandstone a bit :smile.gif:
I will introduce a warmer texture pack when I get this one going a little bit more. So definitely look forward to it.
Oh, thank God. Too many people look at the texture pack forums and say:
"It doesn't feel like there's enough simple packs out there. Mine will be the best!"
I swear, I see one more simple pack, and I'll explode (Note: If you made a simple pack, do not be offended. There's just too damn many).
No, seriously, this looks freakin' beautiful. Maybe it's just the building's styles (Did you make those? They look amazing!), but I am blown away by those screenshots. You seem to be the one person who shares my taste in longer torches. Too many packs make them way too short. And the cobblestone! Oh god, oh man, oh god, oh man!
+1 download, for sure.
If you get the reference above, I think I love you.

Thanks, lol. Yes I built it myself. I have a map with a small town, surrounded by a stone wall and a nice spot for a castle (none built yet though) but I abandoned this a while ago back in alpha. I use it to take screenshots from time to time.
Interesting how many people forget the sprites when they design texture packs, I've shaded all mine accordingly and I edited a few to better suit what I was looking for.
No new sandstone yet, though. I have not decided how to implement that yet.
Let me know what you all think, there is a LOT of changes, mainly driving this texture pack into more of a "cool" and contrasted theme of realism. A lot of the other warmer textures (including the old water) will be in a separate texture pack based off this one, with a warmer theme overall.
The best pack I have seen since the Quandry Pack which is now terribly outdated. I like the fact that the textures have a noticeable difference than the default, but you don't stray too far away from the basic design of the default.
Well done! You receive and a
After noticing the new Beta 1.4 patch coming out with no notice, I've decided to advance verison 0.4 with beta 1.4 compatibility. Only a few changes have been made, however (apart from making it compatible with the latest version of minecraft).
I am making a lot of small edits. I don't like how the grass turns in biomes that are brighter, more vibrant green. Plus there are a lot of dirt spots that should be toned down a little bit.
I will be looking into changing some mobs within the next few updates.
Yes, the zombie texture is extremely bloody. I am planning on toning that down a bit and providing a darker, browner flesh (but yet still bloody) in the next update.
I am taking a break now, until I either finish a first release of my warmer realistic texture pack or until a new minecraft update comes out and breaks the texture packs.
Yes, I share your concerns regarding the grass. I plan on changing the grass color gradient again in the next update, and I noticed something really funny in this version! The dirt with grasstops does not blend in with the dirt without grasstops... something that I should've noticed a long time ago. Will have to fix it :3
But for now- I am going to work on a warmer version of this pack which will be offered in this same thread.
Ok everyone, I released the WARMER version of this texture pack. Red bed/crafting box, brighter more saturated grass gradients, brighter- bluer and more see-through water, and a few other small changes. I also fixed the sidegrass and the items.png to match the changes.
I also fixed the tiling of the sidegrass and regular dirt, as well as the extremely saturated bloody zombie.
Enjoy! :smile.gif: Both packs are downloadable on the same site.
I'd suggest adding Wild Grass texture support, personally. Maybe even custom (edit: I meant animated) water if you wanna get fancy. Otherwise, looks good! I'll definitely use it.

I am wanting to advance version 0.4 this weekend.
If anyone has any other blocks they think need some work please post now! I am going to be working on it tonight.
Enjoy!
Great job, I love this pack. Keep up the great work.
I will be looking into changing some mobs within the next few updates.
Cheers all.
idk might turn out like puke, but worth a try

Does what many HD packs can't do.
