Hello fellow Minecraft enthusiasts. I am attempting to build a new texture pack, inspired by Glimmar's TP. It will to be steampunk-themed. I have little experience in these matters, but i would be most grateful if you, the forum community, could help me along the path to forum-related greatness. Could someone please recommend a good editor to use for the making of this, and a terrain.png file to edit. I am having trouble doing this as i am not that good with scouring files for the components I need. Please help, and make this the best steampunk-themed TP ever! Well, aside from Glimmars.
I recommend using gimp you can find it at http://www.gimp.org/ i think it is very easy to get the hang of quickly. Also to give you a terrain template to edit we have to know what size your TP is going to be.
Though I don't remember seeing you in Glimmar's thread ever....I love that another Steampunk "itch" has come up. But I would rather see you delving into what is alre3ady known there, than see you wade in to the fest pools of the unknown to try and create what has already been perfected

Just kidding...but really you should let yourself know on Glimm's site. We love to help...ask Glimm if you don't believe me

Thanks bro. lots of help. Ans for the terrain size, I'm going to go for a 32 or 64 bit size, as I love hi-rez Tp's, and for the stuff I have in mind, it would be good to have more detail.
