Wow, thanks for the reply; I really wasn't expecting such a positive answer. [I guess I'm still a little jumpy from the Dokucraft thread :mellow.gif: ] I meant coal, the item. Also: The new textures look great! :biggrin.gif:
Heh yea, I guess doku didn't really reply to people too much... :tongue.gif:
Anywho, the coal shall be changed! I'll post some pics of it tomorrow.
It might be too gimmicky, but I had the idea that you could hide a pixel-art sheep somewhere in it. :biggrin.gif:
Or something like Leostereo's inventory GUI. Have you seen that?
Apart from that, no ideas. I'm afraid I haven't seen the moon and sun you're talking about, but the one that's in my download twinkles as it moves. :smile.gif:
I forgot to mention earlier, never change the fantasy water ever. It's too good for that.
I haven't seen his gui actually, I'm gonna check it out now! :smile.gif:
Now I remember the sun and moon. I like them a lot.
Leo's inventory GUI has his sidegrass texture at the top, then dirt, stone and so on, like a cross-section of Minecraft. I don't think that would look too bad.
Thanks! I'm quite proud of the moon actually. I think it looks awesome! (all pixel art too)
As for the inventory, I dunno, doesn't feel like it would fit too well in my opinion. I really like the outline and general style I have for the new one, but what I really need is ideas on how to tackle the individual boxes that the items are in. They're a bit small at the moment and I want to keep the same theme without making too much clutter. It's hard! >.>
I love the style of the GUI at the moment.
An option though, instead of having those red fill gaps between each box, just section it all out with the gold trim, kind of like a tic-tac-toe/naughts and crosses style things?
If you know what I mean.

I actually don't know what you mean.. :tongue.gif:
I got rather confused reading through that... I do like the style of the one at the moment too, but recreating it in smaller res is quite difficult!
Anywho, could you possibly elaborate a little on your idea? You always have good ones so I really want to understand what you're saying!
What gave you the idea of blue torch fire in the Fantasy variant? It's brilliant. :biggrin.gif:
Now I'm going to put up the desktop background thread. :smile.gif:
EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaand it's up.
Well to be honest, I'm not really sure! I just thought fantasy ---> Blue torches.
It was actually the first thing I did for that variant. Then I got rid of it for a little while and then a little further into development I brought it back again. I'm like that. :tongue.gif:
Look, I made some fail panorama's by stretching the minecraft playing window! Does let you see the new fantasy water colour though. It ain't all bad!
Hope you dont mind but i made one for PhanTango's Dokucraft Mini too :wink.gif: If you havent seen it already.
I don't mind at all, it's good that you're spreading round your awesome screenshots! :biggrin.gif:
I saw it too, very nice work! (still envious of your screen though)
Ok cool, Thanks :smile.gif: And It comes in handy while using multiple programs :wink.gif:
I can imagine!
It would be so handy for sketching stuff or testing textures in minecraft while editing those textures at the same time. I think I might buy another screen now so I can use both of them at once. That sounds awesome! :biggrin.gif:

understatement of the century.
Haha, there's that, but I meant the emphasis on positive. The knight patrol in that thread was dreadful.

Ahhh yes, I should add you to mine as well. :biggrin.gif:
I support this idea! Do it!
Ok, so, anybody have any ideas for the gui and any opinions on the low-res moon and sun?
PS. Only 5 more now! :biggrin.gif:
edit - also I think your fantasy grass is by far your best, love it.

As for the sun and moon, look here: oohblah
Oh and I only changed the colour of the water a bit so that those annoying white lines wouldn't be all over it. It was very, VERY annoying...
I added yours to my OP as well :biggrin.gif:
I feel so friendly and nice now...
I also agree, fantasy has the best grass and is my favourite variant overall as well. I spend most of my time playing with it!

Curse PremiumThey can only go up to 1080p though, right?
Wait, is yours just one screen or a bunch of smaller screens?
