I began building. Got a bridge to my Aether Portal (Since the fffff-ing game spawned it in mid fff-ing air D<) and I got my cabin started (using angel stone and hell stone). for now it looks like it'll be a real tiny home in comparison to most builds up it has a little water moat > w<
Sounds awesome!
Mine's a smaller house as well but it's on my own private island (pretty small but about 3 times the size of my house) and a bridge going to the main island near me. I can always renovate it if I feel too cramped!
This is very nice. I especially like the blue torches, and the ores look especially good from what I can tell, in the fantasy variant. (I'm picky about ores in texture packs, some of them just don't look as good.)
Lovely, and very fresh looking. Might just use this one. ^-^

Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular?

Why thank you!
I'm glad you like the pack and *hopefully* use it!
Was finishing up the first floor and placing beds, accidentally clicked to enter one
BOOM
lost the side of my house B|
EDIT: Hey sheep would it be cool with you if I was a bit sneaky and used your textures as a base for my new pack? Obviously I WILL change them quite a bit (style + colors). I will ofc give credit to you. The pack forum link is : http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/512977-wip-aeris-neon-pack-coming-soon/
REDIT: Nvm sheep. I'm finding it hard to make a decent 16x16 which is bright. So decided to go UBBBBBBEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR simple to make it more of a Tron feel. When I get mine done we could collab to make a super bright neon pack for 16x16 which is almost 32x32?
Hmmmm, don't you just loooooooooooooove beds!
I did the exact same thing, although luckily it was in a small cave while I was exploring...
I'll have a look at the pack now, as for the collab, won't be able to for a while because I have so much stuff I need to work on! I just agreed to help out some people in continuing Doku's texture pack so yea....
The new update is looking good so far, and I NEED to try out the aether mod!
still havn't seen any super secret 32x textures......
:L
[Edit] Can't be bothered to get the Aether mod...It'll change a bit too much! :L
Heh, hope you had fun! :smile.gif:
Super secret 32x has been put on hold for a little bit, I need to concentrate on this, Nagareru, and help make some textures for doku's continuation pack (since he's left)
Aether mod is tonnes of fun though... :tongue.gif:
Just sayin', so is millenaire too. They built me a house!
I am contemplating editing dokus textures.
Then I could ALOS send them to Wessex to add them to the doku customizer.
You are well known, for a gorgeous looking 16x pack.
Yes you could, and I just don't feel that well known if you know what I mean...
I should test by just popping into a random thread and seeing if people recognise me, but that might count as spamming....
I used to love that village mod, But it lagged like hell! Also I will download the Aether mod, but I might just put it on hold for a little longer until every single bug is worked on!
And Ssheep...How are you not well known!
Oh and I put making textures on hold for a second because I need Ideas for Wool...I don't want it to be the same boring old coloured wool blocks, What should I do!
Yea, I had to install optifog+optimine to run it without lagspikes, but now it runs very very smoothly. Plus the extra video settings in optimine+optifog make the game look better too!
As for the wool, make them other textures such as alternate bricks, large cobble slabs, random pretty blocks, etc. Check Nagareru in my sig for ideas. I changed the wool blocks into things like different coloured plaster, bricks, logs and things like that.
In other news, I just got an awesome new suit and bow tie! Awesome! :biggrin.gif:
Oh and I just finished doing all the ores for my pack ....then my laptop turned itself off...I didn't save -.-
Bowties are cool! :biggrin.gif:
That really sucks though... I had the same thing happen to me once, lost a fair few textures... I took a rather long break of just playing minecraft... Helped a fair bit!
Sucks that it was the ores though, they're some of the most annoying textures to do... Especially to get them to look great!
In other news guys, I made ANOTHER tall grass texture, but this is the final version. It's clean, looks good in clusters and by itself. Very happy with it! I also made a new sidegrass for default. It actually looks good now! (really didn't like the old one :tongue.gif:)
I'll try to get some pictures up in just a bit.
Also, I'm going to switch between making two texture packs, my current one, and a 32x one where every block is going to be used for decoration purposes!
Awesome!
Just don't get too overloaded with work, it ain't fun! :tongue.gif:
I'm taking it nice and slow :wink.gif: I think it will probably be released after the 1.8 update, then I have time to texture the new things and modify what I already have!
Ahhh sounds good. Plenty of time to make textures then! I'm gonna try and finish the mobs before 1.8. That way I won't have many to do when it comes out! :smile.gif:
Well I can't really reply to all of what you guys said because there are about 20 posts, but I agree with Nightmare, the ores look great!
I really love the smooth/detailed look you're going for there, looks like it's gonna be a nice pack!
Oh and Phan, I'm only having one texture for the aether because a. It's a lot of work for 4 different versions, and b. It's another dimension so who says all the packs can't go to the same place? :tongue.gif:
Well I only started texturing around february this year :smile.gif:
I would say I've come a long way since then!
My advice: practice makes perfect. (inspirational, no? :tongue.gif:)
Yeah, I'm trying not to add noise, and I prefer smooth packs, yet all the *smooth* packs I find are one coulour simple packs, so I thought I'd make my own!
Yes, exactly!
I don't like the one colour simple packs, but I like smooth packs. This is going to be the perfect style for many people (including me, but I'll mostly stick with my pack because I'll be texture testing!)
Sounds awesome!

I'm not as well known as I hope to be.
Maybe you should make a texture pack?
You could use doku's textures as a base for it as well!
Oh and PS: Neither am I... Even with this pack and Nagareru...

SO as far as producing anything won't happen. xD
There is no way in all reality Light is hitting all 3 sides.
Reduce you glow on the text, or remove the glow, and add a dropshadow.
Only add lighting to one side.
I could also read that small, grey. crossed out text.
Lol, 3 way light source.
Would only happen in an abnormal place or a studio, doesn't look natural.
Just add lighting to the frontmost face.
I really love the smooth/detailed look you're going for there, looks like it's gonna be a nice pack!
