A great job as always, mate. You really show us what's possible in 16x. I shy away from most 16x packs because they look pretty crude, but yours are really rather nice. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! :3
Thanks to my current burst of inspiration from god knows where, I feel as though the best is yet to come!
I'm actually really liking the rougher grass. Of course you should keep alternatives available but you know this. Good luck with your website development if you get the proper help. A painterly style Sheep web page would be great.
I like the wavy sand, at least, where you're going with it. I've said before that with 16x16 blocks, it's not easy to make smooth designs tile. The pattern is just fine. I only think the waves in the sand are a little too prominent. The transition from light to dark is to abrupt for me, yet the old sand is just too smooth. Pardon my nitpicking.
Just a suggestion for future reference, but while you're slaving over all this, you might consider making some renditions to smooth stone. I love the way it looks when looking closly but from far away it almost doesn't even look like stone, more like grey clay. I'd recommend keeping the design but altering the brightness and saturation in various spots to make it look a little rougher, as an alternative of course. At this point I think everything you do should be an alternative. The terrain for this pack has been complete for some time as far as I'm concerned.
Tell me you're working on mobs and I will poop a golden brick for you.
Oh by the way, I've implemented glowstone into a ton of designs in my world. Your new glowstone is god damn perfect. It looks good in every situation. Stand alone lights of every kind, single block rows on the wall, double block rows on the cieling, spaced individually over a scale, I even made a diagonal bridge where stair formations cover all the glowstone except for the corners. The corners of the glowstone actually look like little fluorescent lights. I might have to postake some screenshots because it's pretty awesome.

Ok, you will really like the tweaks I've just made!
I'm uploading pics as I type this so they might be included in this response!
The stone has been made rougher, new ores are done, sand has been tweaked so the lines are less prominent, the grass looks wavy and amazing, smoke is done, working on a different mossy cobble now!
I'm also glad you like the glowstone! I have to admit I'm VERY proud of it! :biggrin.gif: Has to be one of the best textures I've made so far, if not the best.
Looks like the pictures are done. Here they are:
(It's actually slightly darker in this screeny :tongue.gif: I think it's a test sand picture)
The way the new snow works!
Is that coal I see up there? (rougher stone too, but that's a bit harder to see)
Awesome ripple grass WITH texture! (looks kinda retro :tongue.gif:)
Random pic that shows the size of my mansion. Probably overkill :tongue.gif:
Many attempts to show the smoke particles. Kinda hard to screenie >.> (looks great in game though)
WIP of the new menu buttons (getting rid of clunky old horrible ones)
Lookin' geeewwd! Any ideas of when 1.4 might be released? :biggrin.gif:
Not really at the moment >.>
School just went back, meaning I'll have less time (apart from weekends) and now that I've started re-doing all the default textures, I'll need to convert them into RPG pack form AND vivid pack form!
I might make 1.4 the updated defaults with all bigs fixed, then make 1.5 the one with RPG and vivid...
1.5 wouldn't be out that far after 1.4 though. It's a lot simpler to tweak textures than it is to completely remake them xD
What do you think I should do?

Yeah, release the updated default textures as 1.4, and the RPG and Vivid version for 1.5
Looking forward to it!
Awesome, I'll do that then! :smile.gif:
I only need to redo the netherrack, finish mossy, the gui menu buttons, finish the last tiny bit of flowing water and then just a couple more tweaks and fixes. Ooooh, actually, i'm gonna redo the bed as well. I think I can do a much better job now! :biggrin.gif:
Should be done quite soon then!
It's coming soon!
Hopefully tomorrow provided I do those last few tweaks and fixes!
If it doesn't come tomorrow then i'll make it up to you by working really hard on the weekend and finishing all the hostile mobs! >:smile.gif:
Maybe the sheep too. <3

Will the old netherrack be in the pastel version of the pack? (vivid)
:|
Well I still have a full page of alternates you can mix and match from :|
All of the textures I previously used (and ones I didn't) are on that sheet. So yea, just a quick edit and you can have it just the way you want it!

All those screenies look awesome, looking forwards to the update :smile.gif:
And thanks for listening to my suggestion about the wheat, too, even if you don't end up changing anything.
No worries! I did tweak the colours a bit so hopefully it made it easier to tell if it's done or not!
Just gets betterer and betterer, mate! You really are doing amazing things with that 16x16 pixel size. It scares me to think of squeezing textures into such a small area, but you certainly know how to do it...and with exceptional tiling skills too!
Mr. Sheep, I wake to the morning sun each day and give gracious respects to a diamond monument made in your image. Though art my shepard. Do with my behind as you will. I wipe my ass with fluff made of your bussom!
Too forward? There's nothing that makes my brain flutter when I check my updates on this site than new Sheep screenshots. I am loving that new stone. Looks like the pattern tiling could be a little more subtle but it's no object. I agree that the iron is a little too mashed. You probably worked hard on it but unfortunately it's far too much. I actually liked the first time you made the iron silver. I'm all about variety but I did like how straight it was and not so round if you know what I mean. I think the fact that they're all running the same direction and they're all relatively the same shape is what bothers me the most.
I do love the new coal. Any more and it would be overkill, I think you got it just right. I also like this idea you have of redstone being a big mass instead of little ores poking out from the stone. Makes sense considering how long it takes to mine. The new diamond looks alot like your old iron, and I love it. Lapis has always looked nice. Gold is still a little too stripey for my liking but again, don't think too much about it without a second opinion. People aren't going to read this post. If you want second opinions you're probably going to want to address the people yourself. You've got a forum to run here!
I would say that the side snow is a little too wavy but that's just me. I like how grass peeks out from under the snow. And the thing about netherrack is, I like it, but ever since I discovered painterly's fleshy bloodstone, I fell in love with it. It's probably not possible to create anything I'll like better. I couldn't even make a bloodstone I liked better myself.
As a final note, it's true. You're glowstone is splendid. I always liked the idea of keeping a bright orange/white block resembling the original glowstone and then framing it somehow. Looks a little silly growing in the nether. :biggrin.gif:
Nice mansion btw. There's no such thing as overkill in Minecraft. You do it because you can. I've never seen anyone build out of wood and sand before either. Probably wouldn't look good with alot of texture packs but you really pull it off with what you've got. I might have to consider that idea. Of course I'd never be able to change tps. I'm alright with that.

Hehe, just another casual drop by to say hello? xD
Anyway, thank you! Your fiver is waiting next to that lava lake. Surrounded by flying zombie creepers that shoot lazar beams and spy chickens from their invisible arms. You never said it had to be easy to get to! :tongue.gif:

Not a painterly fan? :tongue.gif:

I think Iron was just a bit sloppy honestly xD
I can never do it right, it always seems to be the one texture that got away!
I might just take the actual ore from the previous iron and plop in in the rock with some indentation. Might look awesome, might fail, but probably better than what I have now!
I also agree about the netherrack. Painterly created amazing netherrack >.> So hard to even come close! I'll also have a look at the snow covered grass! I agree that it's a little too wavy at the moment. Needs to be more aggressive :tongue.gif:
In other news, I feel honored to be worshiped! Certainly something I haven't heard about before! (well, for me anyway)
I'm getting the need to name one of my structures after you. Just because of all the support, help and suggestions you've given me!
Aphex mansion? :biggrin.gif:
Ok everyone, just trying out a couple of things before I upload it. (it's all ready to go, just seeing what other changes I can make that look good :biggrin.gif:)
At the moment I'm seeing what the chests look like with a *tiny* bit of bling on them!

I've smoothed the textures out a bit!
I'll post some pictures in a minute :smile.gif:
Hopefully you'll like the tweaks I've made!
I will keep a hardcore pastel pack though (it's actually going to be the 'vivid' pack in the OP, 'cept with slightly brighter colours [very slightly])

Curse PremiumWish granted. (you probably haven't even seen the first yet xD)
The ores (yes, this is the texture pack test track :tongue.gif:)
TNT! BOOM!
Incomplete redstone (still working on making it purdy)
More 'door'y iron door. Will tweak the wooden door too! (not much, just a little)
Random picture of the almighty glowstone xD
Finally, 2 really pretty terrain pics! (taken in an unremarkable location too!)
EDIT: Interesting fact, my images on imgur have used 364.47 GIGS of bandwidth. Just from people viewing them too!
