I absolutely love this texture pack; definitely my favorite of all the ones I've tried.
One thing I noticed was that shovels are held incorrectly by the character. They sort of float parallel to the arm rather than gripped in the hand. None of the other tools seem to have this problem. Just wanted to let you know.
Keep up the great work! Would love to see this texture pack get the recognition it deserves.
Thanks a heap! The shovels look like that because I flipped them to make it look like your actually DIGGING the dirt, sand, etc. instead of just hitting it :tongue.gif: It doesn't look as weird if you're in first person, just third person has this issue.
I could flip it over as an alternate for you if you want though!
Great texture pack dude! Just what I've been looking for, mind if I get inspiration from this :biggrin.gif:

Really like the fast update. The wood planks are an improvement, in my opinion. I prefer the large cobblestone from version 0.7 and I'm glad you kept the option to replace it in terrain.png. :smile.gif:
This is easily the best 16x16 texture pack I've seen.

High praise indeed! :biggrin.gif:
I plan to eventually have a few packs available for download and each has a few unique things such as cobble vs. large bricks etc.
I might even get a painterly style customizer depending on how popular the pack is.

Yea, it's fine, just make sure you don't directly copy my work :smile.gif:
and to view post count and view counts, look too the right of your topic when your on the texture pack forum... sorta hard to explain... :tongue.gif:
I really like this texture pack, very nice designs :]
Thanks! :biggrin.gif:
Do you think there's anything i could improve on?
Hmm, I'm pretty satisfied with it at the moment. Have it as my default. I do prefer the old cobblestone than the newest version because it makes it unique out of other texture packs but that's just me. The new cobblestone fits fine. Wooden planks don't look like bricks now. You can re-texture the bed's wood to make it fit more since it looks a bit light to fit in with your wood. Maybe sharpen the sandstone a bit? And that's all I can think of. It's a really good texture pack, imo.

Yea bed and sandstone are still placeholder, definitely gonna change them because i'm not quite happy with them right now (the bed is just a default one coloured blue :tongue.gif:)
Thanks for the feedback though, will help me improve it even more!
This is definitely my new default texture pack. Each other pack always seems to have a few textures that just don't fit in to the theme or is way too bright or noisy, but yours is a great balance and gives the game a natural feel.
I try to stick to 16x16 resolution packs as they don't have the chance of ballsing up every update, but this one has the feel of a 32x32. You really got the best of both worlds going here.
From first glance, it looked as if it was 64x64, and it also looks really good in-game with smooth lighting, I'm definately going to use this for a while - it's one of the few 16x texture packs that change the overall feel of the game, keep it up!
Wow! 64 :biggrin.gif: thanks a lot! There will be another update soon with new sandstone, ore blocks, iron door, the bed and a few of the items will be remade.
Do you think I should try re-skinning the mobs too?

very nice.
love the new cobble and grass, and for the wooden planks: take the first version, the second looks too much like bricks.
Yea I took the second one, and I see what you said about how the first one looks. Thanks for the info about the new cobble and grass though, I wanted to know what people thought about them!
Personally, I think the mobs should come last. I don't really care for how they look, and also, I think just until you finish the terrain etc, you should focus on the environment blocks. (not that it looks bad now, it actually looks great, but if you say you have an update for that coming, then I think you should put your all into it.)
Yea, I plan to finish the terrain, make custom biome colours, do all the art AND do the gui before I do the mobs :tongue.gif:
Terrain comes first and there are still a few blocks that need to be done/I'm not entirely happy with.
I love it, especially the ores. Just before finding this I was thinking about how I really wanted a texture pack that had ores that actually felt like you had found something in the rock, rather the obvious ore poking out that you find in so many texture packs. Your ore textures really re-capture the fun of finding the ores hidden underground that the original had, yet they have a more interesting style.
Well done, good job.
Thank you!
I really like the way I did the ores as well, I put a lot of thought into how I would do them. Only one I'm not too happy with is diamond because it looks a tad too much like sprinkles... (it makes me hungry!)
I will probably change or tweak it in the near future.
