1. He hasn't started mobs. Theyre just fillers.
2. I like pink
3. All the stuff you hated, I love
Wow, removing all that text took 15 mins on my iPod.
Well, as I stated above, these are my opinions. I like the calm colours of most of it, but it has a very pastel feel to it. I say pink because I'm tired, but I meant light pastels. As for the fillers, can sheep whoever keep them default then please.
I guess we'll have to agree to like different aspects. I think part of a creative game is to have bright colours, and this mod helps, but the pastel feel I view as a disadvantage.
Wow, Thanks a TONNE for the feedback!
I actually prefer something lke what you just did rather than just "looks great " :biggrin.gif:
I'll start working on a few of those things after school and post pics of the progress. Thanks again!

Just my two cents:
I love your pack, but it bothers me that your updates never get screenshots.
You've had the same screenshots since day 1 (exaggeration :tongue.gif:)
All I'm saying is this could be an area for improvement.
Yea I'll post some more xD
Last couple of updates were hard to screenshot what I did mind you, things like animated water and lava are also difficult to screenshot...

Love this pack, only complaint is the doors... Looks completely unrealistic and doesn't match the theme with the rest of the blocks...
other than that, Good job!
Was this iron doors, wooden doors or both?
Thanks btw!
ive got my side grass fix all loaded up and the pack modified for it. However the trees still look horrible and I want to use biome for the grass but I can't cause of the trees! There are to many ugly colors in them. Some of the bright red is nice but a lot of it just looks brown. Please try to fix the trees do your best to make one tree a single color and cut out the bad colors!
[edit] Also can you make an alternate version that makes birch trees into aspen in the fall. I want the bright yellow leaves that would be awesome http://ipsite.org/yti
(I just wanted to comment on this post 'ThereWillBePayne' has already written, because I agree with a lot of what he said and wished add some of my thoughts and maybe clarify some of the problems further.)
Blocks: Planks: Planks are sort of 'pink' and the light strip near the indents between the boards looks strange. Make them more brown and try to avoid making planks look 'shiny' ect. (They are definitely pinkish and a bit too pale. The shininess, in my opinion is fine, but the planks definitely need to be a darker brown, maybe a similar colour to the wooden doors.)
Dirt: Dirt looks strange, cracked and out of place in large fields. It's also a very strange colour, but none the less it looks nice. Try to reduce the cracks but still keep it textured. (I like the colour of the dirt, and while it looks great surrounded by more dirt and stone, in any somewhat flat field it clearly sticks out and looks really off.)
Sand and SandStone: Sand lacks texture, and seems to be a very pale pinkish pastel yellow mix. Sandstone is very pink, and the sides are weird. Make it smoother, and think of it as solid sand with a darker shade. (The sand looks fine, could be a bit more yellow, but really no big problem. However, the sandstone does have really weird sides, sort of blurry and swirly, if that makes any sense.)
Grass: Grass lacks Texture, looking like a pastel green has smothered the earth. (Grass looks good, I like the colour and it makes the world vibrant, but I agree it could be slightly more textured.)
Plowed Earth: This looks strange and wavey, but lacks the depth to indicate a gap in the earth.
Smoothstone & Smooth Slabs: Smooth slabs look over textured, and smoothstone seems to have a very light aquamarine colour.
Ore blocks: The ores dont look very good, with the diamond looking like randomly coloured and distributed pixels, and the redstone like a mutant starfish. Gold looks nice, but to be realistic it should be thin lines of gold following large quartz (whitish crystal) veins. Coal should be a larger mass, not several small ones. (The diamonds and the lapis lazuli look very similar, just a slight colour difference. Maybe try making the diamonds bigger clumps, and leaving the lapis lazuli as is, because the diamond doesn't look very good as the distributed pixels, as stated above. Redstone does look like a mutant starfish, haha. If you do work the gold out into veins, which I think would look better as well, then maybe you could fashion the redstone in a similar veiny style.)
Diamond block ect: These need the square indents taken away, otherwise very nice. Diamond could be lighter...
Wool: Wool needs the borders taken away, it can be highly detrimental to create statues or pixel art with. (Definitely agree the borders need to go. My giant blue rug in my dinning hall looks terrible :'{ )
Glass: Glass panes are very nicely made, but the edging is a weird colour it needs to be darker.
Misc placeables, eg chests:
*Chests need the verticle lines on the front and sides removed.
*Torches and redstone need the swirls from the flame effects removed.
*Remove the X shape from the bottom of wooden doors, it looks retro/saloonish.
*Bookcases are to dark and monotone.
*Brown mushrooms look strange, as if viewed from a bad angle. (I think the tops of the crafting tables stand out a lot and look sort a cheesy, might be just me though.)
Mobs & Items:
Animals: Most animals seem to have been taken straight from the painterly pack, and creepers are just ridiculous, sorry but I'm supposed to be scared of them, not invite them in for tea. Sheeps skin needs to be pink, not black as its true to life. (Animals looks great as they are, the sheep being pink doesn't really matter that much to me.)
Items: Cake is hard to see in the inventory, it just happens to be the same shade. Item pictures don't match their appearance, and the gold armour is just iron with a crown and some additions. Also shovels need to be held the default way, the downwards direction option should remain an option.
As to what the guy changed above, I meant sheep skin as when they're without wool just to clarify. And because they're place holders it doesn't matter anyways.
Ok everyone, working hard making many of the improvements that ThereWillBePayne and JakJones suggested. Now that I looked at what they have said and then looked at my blocks, I can see what they mean xD
I will hopefully post some pics later this afternoon!
Heres someting i discoverd; When wearing a Pumpking on the head, If you look on the figure from the front in the inventory, you can't see anny eye holes or mouth.

Yea, there's nothing I can do about that as it's a glitch with the game. All pumpkins worn on your head will be backwards... >.>
Glad you like the pack though!
Here are some updates and changes I made! (a couple aren't shown: less contrasting dirt, no border on cloth, start of an improved lightstone, couple of other things)
New gold and redstone:
I'm probably going to be redoing all ores with the same 'embedded' look as apposed to the shading behind the ores. In my opinion it looks better :tongue.gif: (all old ores will still be alternates!)
New door (the door's window has changed slightly from this pic), changed colour of workbench top, slightly changed planks (mostly colour)
New halfblocks (smoothstone)
This is just some of the work I have been doing. Furnace and dispenser menu's have also been worked on, almost finished too (will post pics sometime).
Please tell me what you think!
That is freaking awesome! Massively huge improvements!
Thank you! :biggrin.gif:
The things you pointed out are really helping me improve the pack. It's like the perfect example of what constructive criticism should be, hehehe.
I like that the workbench is now a blueprint.
Good thinking!
Well I hate to say this buuuuut... It was always blue on the top of the workbench xD
All I did was change the colour of the square things to a more 'woody' colour...
