On the default one, can you make moss stone just edited cobblestone again. My basement is ruined now and the alts don't have matching mossy as the cobble also updated. Btw, I'm still using the 1.3 animals, they're so cute. :laugh.gif:
Ooooh, yes, I've already done this and made the current mossy (the decorative stone) an alternate for each of the packs :smile.gif:
I still prefer the RPG to the fantasy variant for now but I really like the dirt and side grass, the biome colors and water seem perfect ! I like the new ladder.
I think the tall grass can be improved a lot (but we haven't seen your last tweaks). It looks a bit like random pixels and is too contrasted. I've found that what looks good is if the top is brighter than the grassy blocks, and the bottom a bit darker.
Aside from the purple torches, what will make this new pack fantasy themed ?
Oh and you said you still have to do the ore blocks... do you mean the *ore* blocks, or the crafted iron/gold/diamond blocks ?

I just bolded EXACTLY what I've changed! :biggrin.gif: (great minds think alike?) I would show some updated screenies but I'm not on my main computer at the moment to take them. For the fantasy variant I eventually hope to have fantasy-esque mobs and I'm currently changing some items to be more fantasy.
I'm also gonna change the sun an moon to something more... Unique? I'm also going to change the CRAFTED ore blocks and make them something that can be used in structures (fantasy style :wink.gif:) and there are a few other things which I've completely forgotten... I'll post pictures of the unique stuff a bit later on!
I just found this thread today, and I downloaded all 3 variants of this pack. For now i've only used the default, but from what I can see from this point, I really like this pack! Also, I downloaded your save file for your main world, and I love your style of building.
But first, the pack..
there's just 3 things I would like to bring up..
The map: I'm really not sure if this is intentional or not, or whether its been brought up or not yet, but there is two small holes at the top of the map, about a pixel in size, but you can see what is behind the map through them..
Sandstone blocks: I do like them, but I feel as if the top texture of them should also be on the bottom, so they seem more defined when looking from below, just my opinion.
and finally Wool blocks: I know you probably haven't actually done anything to these, and if you have them i'm sorry, but I really feel as if they are a bit too bland..for instance, the only other texture i've played minecraft with a lot is the painterly back, custom of course, and i liked how on that you could have checkered wool, and it was really nice to have a different feel to the wool, i'm not saying you should add checkered or anything of that sort wool, but I do feel as if it should have some kind of texture to it, just to make it look a little different :smile.gif:
I don't mean to criticise, just some ideas :smile.gif:
Now the save file:
Just to make your head a little bigger, I love it.
I love your style of building, and I love the secret base..yes, I found it within like 5 minutes :tongue.gif: I wont say where it is, but I guess i'm just too inquisitive to not look inside where I did to find it :smile.gif:
Thanks for uploading it, I want to start playing on this file purely for the fact that its kind of like I just found a mini village as I was walking along and decided to inhabit it :tongue.gif:
Thanks again for both the texture packs, and the save file!
Thanks for the detailed feedback! :biggrin.gif:
I actually just changed the map, and I think it looks great now. (It's based of the paper sheet)
I think I do need to do something with sandstone... It's a bit boring at the moment, I might make a whole new block :tongue.gif:
The wools are something I've been thinking about as well. They're probably the only texture I've kept from the creation of this pack. (they're probably the oldest things in the pack now!) I want them to be unique for each pack, I just don't know what sort of style I want them to be yet! I'll come up with something soon though :biggrin.gif:
Oh, and for the save file, there's the start of a castle on the other side of the ice lake, past the lava lake. There's also a massive flat area if you walk over my bridge (the tiny one) and keep walking straight. I'm turning it into my megaproject!
There's also 7 more diamonds in my mine if you make two or so more branches across (down the bottom of that big-ass staircase)
Seems the the Pipeworld server has a plugin that turns the bottom layer of any cobble structure into mossy...Ima hafta check it out and post stuff...sounds cool iffin you use the ruins mod (if that's still working)
:biggrin.gif:

"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
It's been a while since I've posted on the forums.
Just read all the posts, and now I'm eagerly awaiting screeenshots. :tongue.gif:
+Soft biome & water colours are really good.
Well I just got home and I'm just going to finish off a tiiiiiny bit of work, then I'll take some more pics and upload them! (I'll send you a link to the updated version too. Oh, and you can tell me whether you think little sparkles would work well in the water because I have all the separate parts of the water and adding almost anything now is pretty easy! :biggrin.gif:)

GESTANK! :biggrin.gif:
I haven't actually ever used the ruins mod, although it does sound rather interesting! I always liked the idea of finding ruined civilizations all over my minecraft world!
The mossy might look a bit strange since the current mossy is more for single block decoration and looks a bit out of place with normal cobble. Might look cool anyway though! :biggrin.gif:
I always decide to edit my posts just after you reply to them D:
Well sorry I was away for an hour, french tutoring >.>
That mod looks really cool. So cool that it is being implemented into default minecraft either this update or the next! :biggrin.gif:
They already have the water colour biome triangle but I see no point in making one for the time being (unless you want one for the mod?)
My uploads keep freezing, but I think I've fixed the problem (closing my sisters laptop because she's torrenting the whole internet) :dry.gif:
Updated pack should be there in a couple of minutes!
It's alright, you know, my head almost exploded from how constructive i was trying to be in that post..
ah well i cant wait to see what the map and sandstone blocks look like then :biggrin.gif:
hmm, i could maybe try and come up with some ideas for the wool, or maybe you could strum up some ideas and run a poll for each pack..I was thinking earlier..have you ever thought of making this kind of like the painterly pack? So, you could have your 3 base packs, but then you could also have it so that we can pick and choose which items we want, without you having to manually edit all of it for us personally. Just a thought, because there's things on some of the packs that i like, but then others that i want to roll into one :tongue.gif:
Well, i was going to start playing around on the save file but if you plan to change stuff, and i assume you're going to release a newer version when you have?
I wouldnt mind exploring anything you put on there :tongue.gif:
maybe some secret passages inside the castle and the like! :smile.gif:
If you go back one page, right to the bottom you can see some of the items! (with the map)
I have actually considered making a customizer, but at the moment I just want to concentrate on making more alternate packs! Then when I have a couple more I'll get a customizer up and running so you can mix and match from all the packs along with the heap of alternate textures that I have. :smile.gif:
Also, adding secret stuff is a really good idea. I shall do just that! :biggrin.gif:

Awesome! Too bad that guy is using an ANCIENT version of my pack! (I should tell him to use the latest one!)

Found a sweet mod;
Biome specific water colours, thats not an all too good example, but the Mod itself is pretty coool.
xD
Trying to find good spots to take photos!
Also decided I need to make new ingots and diamond icons. They look horrible...
Well sorry I was away for an hour, french tutoring >.>

Epic cave from one of the super hostile series of custom maps.
SUM ITEMZ
Got wood? (sorry... :tongue.gif:)
This isn't final btw, I'm gonna add a bit more shading, etc. to it.
Still gonna clean it up a little but it looks better than before!
Subtle snow.
WIP snow fort
Awesome biome colour!
Oh and Nightmare, check your PM's in just a minute! :biggrin.gif:
Love the shots, everything looks awesome.

Updated pack should be there in a couple of minutes!
It was taken over by 6 creepers once. I wasn't happy... :tongue.gif:
+ you should definitely try adding sparkles to the water.
Awesome, attempting now >:3
There are still a few items that are pretty bad though. They'll be fixed before release! :smile.gif:
Yup! I have about 6 backups of every stage of making the water so NOTHING can go wrong!
If you go back one page, right to the bottom you can see some of the items! (with the map)
