Holy sweet baby jibblies, Batman.
I love that this is a concept pack, and you've done a god job with the execution of getting across the mood.
One thing I would suggest is, once you've got all the basic textures down, go back and fine tune them a bit. Get things looking a bit more rounded (eyeballs), and don't be afraid of contrast (rib cages, etc.)
This is a fantastic start. I wanna see you make it even better.
Love the pack, reminds me of the creepy books I like to read. I noticed that the boat uses the original wood texture, though. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm working on a new boat, sign and armor for the next update. Hopefully I'll have it done within the week, but yeah it'll be more then just a wood recolor.
Remeber to check ALL the files in minecraft.jav
The grass color is hidden in there; that's how I fixed my grass glitch. The boat should be hidden in there too; don't remeber there though.

Diamonds for you, good sir!
Thanks for the encouragement :smile.gif: Once I've converted everything I plan to do some significant refinement, but I'm always open to suggestions for how to make things better as I'm working on it. What do you mean by contrast exactly? Making things look less blended together or more contrasting objects in the world itself?

I found both biome files and in the next update I hope to implement a more bluish/violet shift in terrain color. But yes, it seems every time I open it up I find something new to alter :smile.gif:
The sky shouldn't be blue still. The go with the sickly theme of the pack, make the sky this colour:
Also maybe change the clouds so they're black or grey? :biggrin.gif:
Tbh the purpleness of the pack is offputting. It does look like you just applied a purple colour filter to the entire thing. Maybe making it slightly less vibrant purple and changing only green things (except the trees, they're perfect how you've done them) purple would be a better idea? Snow could be the same kind of colour as the sky but perhaps more colour?
While this would be cool, sky color is unchangeable in MC at the moment. With clouds, however,a similar effect could be achieved. It's been a long time since people made themed texture packs like this.I hope that the trend returns.

Yo dawg I heard you like playing Portal so now you can play Portal while playing Minecraft while going to Hell.
the story was soooo epic...but the texture pack did not meet the expectations.
Im not sure if we are supposed to be on a giant beast or not.
Maybe you could make a custom map with a beast's head so we can actually feel like were going inside of it.
I appreciate the compliment on the story. The beast as I see it isn't so much a creature with a head, more like a organic swarm that seeks to assimilate all matter it can, consuming a planet from the outside in, but you're certainly welcome to whatever interpretation you wish to see. Sorry if it didn't completely satisfy.
Back when it was still Biocraft, I tried making a huge skull-fortress and organ-like interior but the save file got corrupted. Perhaps I'll give it another go sometime.
Might I suggest scabby congealed clots of blood for the sand? And make the bone texture look more like dozens of interlocking bone bits, rather than plain white. Or make the dirt a pulverized flesh layer, and the stone into the strong muscles, make iron into bits of protruding bone, and gold into cancerous tumors. I've been thinking about a pack like this for a long time. I'm just hoping someone will finally see it through to a 'complete' stage.

Those are all interesting ideas. I know someone else is working on a bio-themed pack that uses flesh for dirt and muscles for stone, but it always seemed to me that bone fits better for that purpose. If it's any consolation, the bedrock is now the beast's throbbing immortal heart.
I do like the idea of bleached interlocking bone bits though, might use it in place of cobblestone currently. The blood clots for sand seems like a good idea, but I think it might blend in too much with the water and the rest of the terrain. However, there are blood clots in the form of slimes bouncing around in dungeons, and I have something like blood clots in mind for clay, mostly due to not having any better ideas at the moment. Mostly it just serves as an odd placeholder.
Rest assured, I do plan to keep adding to and improving this pack, and suggestions like yours are great motivation for doing so.
Well, I think the clotting wouldn't blend in as much if you went for a sort of maroon color, maybe even some dark ruddy browns. But had the edges keep a brighter 'fresh' blood red.
how do you tell normal ores apart?
Stormbyrd will prevail!

That's odd, I did change the tools and a lot of the items

Sorry for the double post, but why?
The water works fine, just use the pacher. Tools and mobs however are default.
Besides that, great text pack, keep up the great work!
