I had found a guide on changing the terrain.png file; I used it to clear up the glass as the default just doesn't do it for me. Anyway, since I have updated to Beta 1.3_01, minecraft isn't reading the terrain file that I have. I have it located in the .minecraft-->bin-->minecraft folder. I also updated my .jar file to the newest one that has the news on the login page. When i look into the jar file with WinRawr, I can't seem to find the gui folder or even the terrain.png.
Okay, now that I have looked around a little bit, it appears that my beds now show up as a bright purple block, but breaks down into the bed it is supposed to. The bed doesn't appear on the terrain.png file, I thought that they were on another file. Any idea why this might be?
Do i need to choose between beds, or clear glass? (that is the only change I did to the terrain.png file)
hi i have a simple question about a block on the terrain.png...
what is the block in the top left hand corner?
because by it location relation to the blocks data value, that should be the air block... (data value= 1)... but it is certainly not air.
if you know what that is suppose to be please post.
i picked this thread cause it was the most recent to have a post on it, hoping that this is still a live thread.
don't worry about the text on the picture this is from something else.
That is the grass texture. Due to the color changes in biomes, it is easier to change the color from grey, than green.
And air is data value 0, not 1. And air does not use a teture, so it wouldn't have a texture value.
ya i did mean to say data value 0, but i said data value 1 because i was think is 1-256 not 0-255.
and well if it is a grass texture then why does it still have the normal grass texture couldn't the green grass texture be removed?

I figured they were, I just can't seem to find the new terrain file in the new minecraft.jar file.

O ok sorry about that.
Thanks for the file. I edited that one and everything works great now. I just couldn't find where they moved it in the new minecraft.jar download.
Thanks again!
