I made a new book for the enchantment table, let me know what you think. Oh yeah, put the file into the "item" folder in the texture pack. Also, you'll have to rename it to 'book.png'
One last thing, here's a new particles file that contains the characters that fly off books shelves into the enchantment table.
I edited it to make it look somewhat more hand drawn/painted. I dunno, I tried :sad.gif:
I, for one, think it looks quite nice:
A bit higher-resolution than one might expect in a 64x pack (scaling up from default, it should be half the resolution it is now), but looking at some of the other packs I've downloaded, it doesn't seem entirely unheard of to use a higher-resolution book texture in order to squeeze a little more detail in. Still, perhaps a 256x128 book texture would fit in a little better?
EDIT: Ah, looking at the quote in izbbass' post, it seems you are already aware of this. What happened to the lower-res version?

Glad you like it. The one in my post now actually is the lower res version :tongue.gif: , I got rid of high res version because it was way too high res to fit the rest of the pack. Like you said, it's probably still a bit too high, but when I tried making it even smaller it seemed like too much detail got lost.
I think they're fine, it's basically the same as the inventory bar. The only thing I think you should change/add is a background texture to it, so it even more closely resembles the inventory bar.
Made a very basic TNT block... not entirely pleased with it so far, I feel like it needs something below the "TNT" stencil to balance it out a bit, something that isn't more text. Maybe an old label/notice of some sort (presumably handling instructions or whatever, in unreadably small print)?
Anyway, figured I'd post what I've got of it for now, as an early Christmas gift to you guys. (If there's a better gift than explosives, I know not of it! :laugh.gif: )

well, ovos rustic has sort of a medieval feel to it. Try and give it that lok but WITHOUT making it seem too old fashioned. I dunno, theres medieval, but then theres old fashioned.
Like ovos jukebox is medieval-ish, but a old fashioned record player would be old fashioned.
lmao.
Well, in medieval times they didn't use TNT, so I figured a wooden crate filled with sticks of dynamite* was the most rustic/old-timey/practical option available. Inspiration could be said to have come from ozBillo's TNT, but I didn't want to use such an elaborate stencil (seemed too un-rustic) and opted for the simple, ever-practical "TNT" in bold letters.
Anyway, will definitely make another attempt at it later on (likely after the holiday is done) so suggestions for improvement are always welcome, but specific descriptions to work from are appreciated most of all. In particular, reference images would be delightful! :smile.gif:
*technically, dynamite =/= TNT, but it's a common enough error that I didn't feel too stupid for going along with it. :tongue.gif:
My poor attempts at the phases. I'm sure someone can much improve it. All I did was cut out part of the moon and replace it with a solid color :tongue.gif:
You're going to have to rename the file to moon_phases.png. Imageshack doesn't support underscores in the name

The book seems too realistic to fit with the rest of the pack :tongue.gif:
Though the enchantment symbols look good.

It's not really helpful if you don't explain why.

Support the best nether mod out there
That looks pretty good, though I think it could easily be better by changing the textures to the pack textures.

Very nice!
But it is not too rustic enough!

EDIT: Nevermind. Forgot there's an older versions link :tongue.gif:
