Not exactly. Ovo has stopped working on it, but there are quite a few community members (myself included) who are determined to keep it going. "Dead" means it will never be updated again; that is not the case. It has simply become a community project.

You can think and do whatever you want, but if the original creator stops working on it, the pack is dead. The original vision of what made Ovo's Rustic Pack is gone and tt's not the effort of a "community" that will make me think the other way.
Ovo's Rustic is dead, and it has now become The Community's Rustic pack with different interpretation of different people. That's not Ovo to me.
first you have to download the newest mcpather and run it than you must doubleclick the mcpather like a exe an klick on the button patch minecraft :smile.gif:
I did that exactly. I patched my minecraft with the latest mcpatcher. Yet im still having display bugs.
Please teach me in steps. T.T
1. Double check you don't have two minecraft.jar's in your roaming/.minecraft/bin/ folder
2. if you do, remove the one with numbers or both
3. Redownload a fresh minecraft jar (to do this click force update on game launcher)
4. Open MCPatcher and make sure HD textures is ticked (usually it's done by default)
5. click patch and run your game
* Mods & textures don't work on the browser version of the game (haven't tested this in months)
* sometimes mcpatcher would have issues if the second jar is/was still in your bin folder after a game update (haven't tested this in months)
If any of this still doesn't work then I'm not sure what's going on. I guess your display bugs are fire etc in your grass texture and no animated water for example?
Yes ! That was my bug. But thanks to your steps they are gone ! Thank you !
Now the problem is... my text are a little weird... I dont know how to upload a screenshot.
please help me. :sad.gif:
I personally like the default wools better, but your framed wools would be perfect for coloured glass (If that mod actually exists still and the details of your wool would be kept it'd be a sort of stained glass and it'd be lovely. :smile.gif:
Hey. When you ran MCPatcher was HD Font also selected? I've not seen many issues about this personally. To upload a screenshot I believe it's F2 and then you'd have to upload that to a site such as imgur.com or any other hosting service. Your screenshot folder will be in /roaming/.minecraft/screenshots
The only time I get weird text is when I patch without selecting HD Font. :smile.gif:
I have spent nearly all day trying to find a texture pack like this.....no one to be found.
I really love the "painted" feel to it and am really sad to see it dropped *sigh* is anyone talented enough to take up where Ovo left off?
This is easily my favorite texture pack, and like many others I would love to see it continued. I'm not sure I'll be able to offer much since I've never worked on a texture pack before, but I did make a new moon texture that I've been using with this pack.
The gesture is appreciated, but to put it politely, the texture could use a lot of work. It tiles poorly (when placed side-by-side, the lines on two blocks do not match up, leaving a visible seam), and the texture itself lacks... well, texture. It's just a series of lines across a flat background, no detail or shading or anything.
You may wish to consult some texturing tutorials before making another attempt.
Retexture of the wool (only because I hate seams, lol):
I'm currently working on the dye colors and some of the other hand held items. I'll get those up when I get the chance.
I did a mycellium but I hate it, so I'm not posting it, lol!
Note that I basically reused the existing wood texture to make the rails and the box for the TNT. So I really don't take credit for that part of it as it's originally his work, and just me editing it around.
it looks not bad but that is not really like ovo's terxtures
Which parts? I'm not expecting everyone to change to the stripped down rails or seamless wool just because I prefer them. But I'd like to know more about your opinion. :smile.gif:

I think he means it looks a bit too clean, and smooth. The powered rails, for instance. It's a decent texture and would probably work well in a clean design pack, but it doesn't quite feel rustic.
I like the cauldron, though. The legs are a bit odd (chubby up top, then with the thin little poinker-dooker at the foot) but the cast-iron design fits well. If it's alright, I went ahead and modified it slightly (less contrast, thinner legs, different bottom-view) to better fit the pack; might still need some tinkering, but I think it looks nice.
While testing it in-game, I discovered that it does have some minor flaws relating to the way the texture is used on the cauldron model:

Read the few pages before... the pack IS dead.

Some rework of the rails (less fancy IMHO):
A base to the Brewing Stand:
TNT (I think I"m gunna rework it though):

Will likely attempt to fix this later.
It seems to fit too.
So I took a shot at the enchantment table, let me know what you guys think.
