About tiling, if you see visible patterns like in the cobblestone, it's generally on purpose. It's primarily to make edges look good (notably, doors look nicely nested in the wall) and I like that we see where are the cubes. I've chosen this compromise between seamless and clear square shapes. If you don't pay attention to details, it looks seamless, but if you do, you can visually separate each cube.
As for the unclean seams, that's a different matter, I don't take the time to make every detail perfect for now. But here again, if you don't pay too much attention to details, you won't see the ugly ones. :smile.gif:
I'm loving the pack (other then the sandstone texture) so I decided to use it as a base for a pack I'm using to build a castle. My problem is that I've made some adjustments to the pack and without my costum pack the castle looks silly so I'm looking to upload my costumized pack. I read the "Readme" files from the download, but I'd like it if you could make it a bit more clear on what I need to do in order to do this the right way.
Keep the license.txt, the copyright.txt (add your name) and if you want give credits on your download page.
I'm confused. I'm running 1.8.1 and despite downloading tons of newly updated texture packs, I keep coming back to this pack. It works just fine. The version I have is Ovo's Rustic Pack 1.3 pre.zip. Beside it, all the other packs I used to love just don't look as good. (Although if I could I'd swap in Swiss Rustic's windows).

Well said! it's intentional - doesn't need to be fixed!
For some reason, when in conjuncture with the OptiFine mod, this texture pack makes my Minecraft run smoother than the standalone OptiFine mod and the default textures. So it's a win/win for me, or, bi-winning, as Charlie Sheen would say.
Hi, I absolutely LOVE this texture pack, but am having two issues with the half done pack for 1.8
- Water is invisible!
- Dirt blocks... well... I'll post a picture, haha. It seems to have the portal and fire animation in it for some reason.
Any ideas? Might I have done something wrong? Installing texture packs isn't exactly difficult though, I thought, haha. I also have had the water (or lack thereof) issue with another pack that was not quite ready for 1.8, and I don't know why.
Packs will no logner crash the game but for some reason people believed you no longer need to use the HDPatcher but as you can see with those glitches it's still required at this stage. The reason why your water is invisible is pretty much the same reason for the glitches - the terrain file doesn't contain an image for water (it's seperate file which the patcher uses for custom water/lava etc)
Yep, brilliant. I actually thought the crashes were the only reason for the patcher, I feel a bit silly now, thankyou! This pack is awesome, especially the water and trees...

Curse PremiumWell if it is the same texture as the cobble then I could do that rather easily too...
Mind you guys, I don't really see what the problem with the cobble is... >.>
Or my eyes are f***ed up

I agree - I don't see the problem, and I LOVE it as is. Please don't change a thing.

Works just fine with 1.8 - just like before, there will be some textures that default to Vanilla. no worries.
There's a link to the latest version in OVO's post back a few pages - dunno if that matches what's on the first post or not.
If you don't like the textures, download TEXMIX and insert the ones you want yourself. it's not that hard.
My Favorite Texture Pack is OVO's Rustic Pack:
So, thank you.

Okay willl do thanks, wasn't sure if that was the issue.

Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
