After I relised long ago that painterly (then my main pack) didn't do what could be done to enhance play all too well, but at that time good HD textures were non-existant or way too much realism. One day I was looking through pages and pages of texture packs to find one that is right. After giving up and going pack to other forum topics I came across someone with your banner and thought "hmm this looks like it will work to my liking". Lo and behold I came to your pagge and so the first screenshot, came a bit, and exploded. It was a fresh breath to all the horrible packs I have looked at. Even when I saw it not veary vinished I merged it with another pack almost emediatly. I have tried making my own 16x16 packs before, and relised how really extremely hard it can be if you don't know what you are getting into. Of course I wasn't worrying about what others thought or what challenges I would face, because it was going to just be a personal pack. Long story short I didn't know what I was doing and quit. If you are tuly feeling like you don't care about the pack anymore or you are tired of slaving away to ungratefull fans or just think you deserve pay for this, then go ahead and leave us. For me I'll just have to get used to sub-par packs like dokucraft. Just remember if you finished this it could easily be on the top. The ONLY tp I have ever enjoyed. ~Anti
WHY??? this texturepack is so awesome! and you've nearly finnished it, why do you stop so close to the end?
ok i won't play minecraft any more.
Threats, I like this ! xP
It *looks* like I am close to completion because I have done the most visible part, but I haven't even done half of the textures !

I swear to god that if you don't finish I will bear hug you!!!! Might even give you a nice big wet kiss! :tongue.gif:
Hahaha.
Take a break brother. Seems like you're stressed out, and it happens. You've done the best, overall work in a texture pack(IMO). There's no rush, no need to feel obligated and there's no reason why you should feel stressed out about; finishing it or about haters griefing you. Things usually tend to work out for the best, in the end, even though at first glance it may not seem that way.
yes, but do you update this with every minecraft update??
and please complete the terrain.png in the way u did the rest, cause that was very awesome!!!
for the rest we can copy things from other texturepacks, so if the terrain.png gets updated i'll use this and maybe misa for font and other things.
I will finish the terrain.png and will try my best to update, at least. My little brother, sister and cousin will certainly remind me if I don't. ^^
So, where was I at ? Ah yes, tall grass, third try !
This is the fifth and last try for the tall grass. Probably the texture that had the most failed attempts.
I have no idea why it took me so many tries to finally get this, it's one of the simplest things I have ever painted... Anyway, it looks good to me now (though I wonder where the seeds come from...), so I can go to sleep with a peaceful mind. :smile.gif:
The tall grass is beautiful. I'm finding out, as I start to make my own textures, how many attempts it takes to get one to look just the way you like it (my ores are on their 4th iteration and I'm still not fully satisfied with the look).

Just sayin' Ovo, if you do decide to give up on the pack, I would be more than happy to continue it. (only with your permission of course) :smile.gif:
I think I have a good feel for your style after making my 16x pack and I have had some experience with 64x textures! (all unreleased though)

And I would be more than happy to see you take up on it ! I just wonder how you'd find the time to manage 5 packs. :wink.gif:
For now, after my last discussions, a bit of reorganization of my goals for this pack, and me being somewhat moody, I have regained some pleasure and interest in carrying on.
But I'm all open to all kinds of cooperation meanwhile. If you want to trade a few textures or even join me more seriously on my pack (that we'd rename to just Rustic pack or something), let me know !
I have to agree with everyone else here, I have never seen a texture pack that has stood out so excellently from the rest than yours. I am always looking forward to any and all updates that you post on this thread, I have bookmarked this page and check it constantly to see your fantastic work. Quite frankly, when I see something as simple as a chicken getting updated, I say "WOOO, THAT CHICKEN LOOKS SO AWESOME!" =P
But in seriousness, I do understand the amount of time and effort that you are putting into this to make sure that everything is to the best that it can be, and I know that there are others out there like me who appreciate your creativeness. Don't lose faith!!
Now, go forth! And be amazing!! :biggrin.gif: Or I shall hunt you down with a pack of platypuses. O.o
P.S.
You did a fantastic job on the grass. =) It goes really well with everything, as always.

Gave me a warm feeling ! ^^
I must say I'm amazed by the great support I'm having by so many people here, I am really thankful for this !

Hmmm, I might just try making some stuff from time to time and PM'ing them to you or posting them here to see what other people think of them as well! :smile.gif:
Oh and that grass looks awesome. The fern really looks 3d!
I wrote up a long list of feedback since I know how much creative people need that.
I love the whole painted/drawn feel to it. Makes me feel like I'm living inside art. I especially love the log and cactus textures and how the wood door looks against cobblestone. I really like the way your glowstone manages to bridge the gap between the original minecraft look and "streetlamp." It fits in with both! A few issues: The wildgrass is too small for me (suddenly selecting it comes as a shock), the brown mushroom being uncentered looks odd, and the gravel looks too realistic and sticks out from the feel. It also looks bad against your smooth stone and dirt, which is important since I'll see a lot more gravel underground than on beaches. Although I suppose it would look amazing on a beach the way it is. Also, I'd really, really, really appreciate an alternate texture for netherrack that's brimstone instead of intestines. That's a personal issue: I find I get nauseous in the nether when it looks too much like intestines. Great pack though, I *love* the feel of it, can't wait to see your cake and hearts/armor textures, since I think those will look really cool within this style.
What makes this pack stand out is its unique "art" feel. Keep up the good work!
I've yet to make a good post in here Ovo.
This is by far my favourite 64x pack, and once I get my High-end PC this shall be the pack I'll be using for the most part.
I love how you didn't go for the 'realistic' look like 90% of the 64x packs.
Once I have time to properly test out the pack, I'll post again. :]

Whenever you want, pick a texture you want to do or redo. :smile.gif:

Thank you, I do like detailed feedback ! There's just so many textures I would like to change... Gravel and netherrack are among them. Tall grass is already changed (there's a picture in the last page).

I was assuming that it wouldn't work properly with 1.6.6 because of the block problems that happends when a texture pack is outdated...
Minecraft takes all the textures from an image file called terrain.png. The game looks for a certain number of pixels from a specific part of the image, and then displays those pixels on the block. The reason there are "block problems" is because when a new block (like the trapdoor and the wildgrass) is added, the existing image file doesn't have textures for them. So the program goes into the image to look for them, and shows you whatever it finds in that part of the image. That's why you'll get redstone wire for your trapdoor texture in 1.5 packs. The trapdoor texture is in the part of the image where redstone wire used to be.
So if no new blocks are added in an update, there's no need to update your texture pack for it.
It makes Minecraft much more dynamic!

(however it would be better if the cobble and smooth stone colors blended a little more.)
I'm working on the old wild grass, improving it for it fits the new tall grass.

Not for v1.0, I'm concentrating on finishing the blocks, so that "version 1" makes some sense. :wink.gif:
Here is the new fern and the heavily reworked wild grass:
Next, dead shrub, bed...

Hai xNightmare! :wink.gif:
Want to tell us what you think was added to 1.6.6 that would make a 1.6.5 texture pack obsolete?
Think about that one for a little while.
The trapdoor texture is in the part of the image where redstone wire used to be.
So if no new blocks are added in an update, there's no need to update your texture pack for it.
