Damn it !
Gonna post a fix for the trapdoor after dinner (will have to remove the handle sadly). Thanks for letting me know.
And I'll post a mirror download location for those having file corruption problems.
This hands down my favorite texture pack ever! Do you have any ideas on what your going to do for armor and stuff? The original iron and diamond armor just look out of place.
This pack also looks really good with the millenaire mod.
So I've fixed the trapdoors in version 0.9.2. And for those who had file corruption issues, try downloading here and tell me if it's ok. Thanks ! (I suppect a general issue with planetminecraft)

Hey Ovo, I wanted to Pm you but your inbox seemed full.
I'm currently in the process of trying to "Unite" As many rpg texture artists as possible to help each other make their own texture packs great by simply sharing textures, idea's, or even raw concepts with each other.
if you're interested I'll post your texture pack in my thread to help promote it and you'll beable to freely share textures with others to help make your own pack even better. What do you think?
Ovo! Just thought I'd share what I did to make a trap door using the my recreation of your wooden door.
It's unfortunate about how the trap door texture is set to rotate when opened. I noticed the same with this after testing it out.
Anyways, I hope you like it! :biggrin.gif: I have really enjoyed most everything coming from your texture pack the most and have decided lately, to base a lot of my further textures on it. I'm a big fan of the swirls and such, makes it feel very "lord of the ringish" or fantasy worldly. :biggrin.gif:
@Tyken132
It would sound like an interesting idea but in practice, I think not. :tongue.gif: There are lots of reasons preventing us texture artists to exchange textures with each other. My textures are publish under a libre licence so those who want to use them can.
Plus, there's already a texture artists guild that many of us have joined, where we can get help from each other if we want.
But thanks for proposing !

Sorry for not answering your last PMs. I appreciate that you want to share back what you did with my textures, sadly I don't like those changes much, sorry. The rosette design in the trapdoor is a good idea, I'd have considered it if I wasn't done with the trapdoor already. :wink.gif:
I've somewhat stopped taking suggestions for now as I've already got a long list of them and I prioritize making new textures. And I'm lacking of time a lot, like everyone else. :sad.gif:
Dont be, you're busy and I saw someone had mentioned they couldn't send you a message because your inbox was full, so out of excitement i just posted it here. :biggrin.gif: lol

No need to be sorry, I got what I asked for, which was your opinion. :biggrin.gif: It's actually nice to know that because it means that our styles/tastes are different enough that, while it might have the same over all look, they really are different.
Oh, and I didnt mean to imply that they were suggestions for you to change your pack. I would never do that, I just doesn't sit well in my stomach.

I understand, no problem. Thank you for reading and considering it, though.
Well, my computer crashed so I have'nt been on the forums or played Minecraft in awhile. So the first thing I did when I got on the forums today was check to see how your pack has been coming along. I was wondering what all this hype is about the Lapis Lazuli block was, so I downloaded the texture pack on my dads laptop just to see the terraign.png. All I can say about the Lapis Lazuli block is... WOW! It looks amazing!!!1!1!1!!!!!!1!111! Once again, for the billionth time, greeaaat job on the pack so far, Ovo.
I just wanted to say that you've done a great job so far with this texture pack! I never considered using one because there were always some textures that irritated me too much, up until this one :smile.gif:
What I like most is the fact that you don't stray too far from the original look but manage to make it beautiful all the same. Expecially the original cobblestone texture was a bit of an eyesore, especially when you had whole buildings made of it.
There are still a couple of things I'm not so fussed about though, just want to know if anyone else thinks the same:
As I didn't like cobblestone in the default minecraft texture I built most of my houses from normal stone. Now with rustic stone texture they look sort of weird. I think it's because of the rough detailed surface while the old stone made a far more smooth impression.
Another thing I liked was the default wood texture. The rustic square bark makes the rounded inner trunk look a bit out of place.
The attempt at a completely new type of texture for chickens looks great. The eyes seem a bit big but probably just because I'm used to the 1 pixel eyes. However, as they are no longer white, does it still make sense that they drop white feathers? :wink.gif:(well seeing as zombies also drop feathers I shouldn't really talk about sense, but still :tongue.gif: )
Last but not least I just don't like the head of the pickaxe, probably just me and I can't explain why so not really very constructive, sorry.
I'm sure that I'd get used to all this over time and I will try to, as the rest of the pack has some of the nicest textures imaginable. Thank you!
Will you be using the grass that you made for the Wild Grass Mod? I liked the little creeper faces. :3
No because the tall grass has only one texture (vs 8 for the Wild Grass mod), so it has to be quite generic. The Wild Grass mod will get updated anyway.
@EoC
Thanks for the compliments and for the long review Mr Nit-picker ! :wink.gif:
The stone is bound to change in the future. The wood top not but I admit it would make sense if it was less round (oh wait, just checked, it's already nearly a square !). The white feathers come from the chiken wings. :wink.gif:
Lastly, the shape of the pickaxe will definitely stay like this !
Okay, I'll try something to get me motivated again... I'll post here my progress frequently. If it doesn't help I'll stop, so I don't promise anything. I'm doing this primarily for me to try to get the faked feeling that I'm not alone working on this pack. :smile.gif:
So right now I'm starting working on the note block. I have no idea what to do (as usual)... I think I should keep the dark red color for the main material. The crafting recipe involves wood but I don't want the block to look cheap. So perhaps some very clean wooden frame ?

Maybe a wooden (clean or otherwise) edging/backing with a subwoofer on the front?
I started with this:
But... no.
I'm going for something imaginary, victorian. The subwoofer would be out of place but yeah, some metal things on a wooden box. I should call Glimmar out for rescue. :smile.gif:

Maybe you could use a type of redwood look, and make a single music note, like a quarter note, in the middle that looks burned in, with some victorian designs around it? Just throwing something out there to help the creative process.
I was thinking something like this as a reference to the design.
Love your pack. Its so good that sometimes I see it and im like wow is that bump mapped or 3d? Best 64 by 64 ever. Anyways past 64 it looks bad, I know, its a paradox. Your pack needs to include the shrubs and tall grass, they are invisible. :C

Not sure how to best represent it, but what about a Victrola?

=> Going to try this Millénaire mod, looks fantastic !
I have no idea for the armors, this is typically the type of things I don't like to paint (man-made with lots of details). It's gonna be rustic anyway ! ^^
