The wool looks wonderful! I like that you included a dark seam alt for it too. Can't decide which one I like better. :happy.gif: The clay looks really nice too.
My only complaint with the new update is the Sandstone looks way too similar in color to the sand. From anymore than 10 or so feet away they are hard to distinguish. For building designs and even mining it's a little problematic.

Quite a dilemma with wool, heh ? I faced it too, but for general purpose the smoother version is better I think.
I hear your complaint about the sandstone, I'll think about it. I'll surely change it in the future as I quite rushed this texture, but the fact that it's very close to sand was an actual decision : sandcastles look better - to me - when the supporting sandstone blocks blend in with the sand.
Can you be more specific about the kind of situations it is problematic for you ?

1. In inventory the blocks looks exactly the same, which is a minor problem but a bit annoying.
2. When mining sand I often can't tell if it's sand or sandstone until I'm already attempting to mine it.
3. When creating buildings, since they look so similar I feel like there is no point in using them both, which is the biggest loss because it essentially removes an option for building design. If I can't easily tell which is which, why bother using them both?
Well I tried to lay it out the best I could. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way so maybe some others will stop by and weigh in. I am in no way saying I am dissatisfied with what you are doing here, you are making this with your own time for enjoyment and I am just glad to be able to enjoy it too. Thanks for your hard work!
No problem and you provide good arguments. There's still a major difference : sandstone doesn't fall.
Anyway, I'm starting to agree with you, so if others have a different opinion, that's a good time to voice it ! ^^
I actually spend much more of my free time to make textures and fix my private server than to play so any input from people who actually use my pack is valuable.

Amazing!
I really like how you demonstrated the pack, it looks like it fused the past (according to the top pictures) and the future (the pictures below)
I'd really like to see it completed, in its full glory.
On the sandstone thing, I have the opposite issue. I love the way mine looked (made it in an ancient Egyptian sort of stone), until you could readily see it supporting the sand. It looked out of place as far as a natrually occurring blocks go. So now I too have to mess with it to make it just right.
I would think though, if it were going to fit "hard sand", as most think of it, it probably should have a more smooth stone type texture (but more subtle) to it. Just so you can tell close up, that it's sandstone. But blends from further away.

Ovo I'm really digging this pack more and more. I've made it my primary texture pack, really don't intend on switching anytime soon. So kudos for making something that feels like the original Minecraft, but improved in almost every way.
Although if I can offer some (constructive) criticism:
I'm not a big fan of the glass. I don't really care for the borders, it would be nice if it looked more like glass instead of a wood framed empty box, take this image as an example:
I'd personally prefer a borderless glass tile, but what interests me might not interest everyone else, just thought I'd offer my opinion on it. I really dig the way the Bordercraft did the glass, but I know that wouldn't fit with your theme. Maybe the way the Faithful texture pack did it's glass might work?
Otherwise I'm really enjoying it. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mxms.
There is a problem with glass, preventing any really good designs for it : Notch did not activate 8 bits alpha (i.e. semi transparency) for it. Which I really don't understand, since water and ice have it. This leaves us with two options : either an empty frame, or ugly floating opaque pixels that poorly fake reflections.
The other problem is that there is only one type of glass to choose from ingame, it's terribly limitating. How great would it be if we could make either plain glass, wooden window or iron window, and stain all of them ?
I kind of like Bordercraft's glass so I may take the idea and make an alt texture. Though I still prefer the empty wooden frame (don't like those floating harsh pixels) and it's also probably the taste of the majority of people. I'll make polls when I reach the polishing phase for my pack.

I like this pack a lot. My only complaints are the smoothstone (which i saw you saying you were going to change) and I prefer the sandstone to look less like sand. I have a sandstone pyramid and it looks a bit odd. that's just preference though and I can probably figure out how to change it. Great pack though.
I was a sworn 16x before, but now..
I also would like to see a smoother stone, but otherwise, amazing job :biggrin.gif:

I like the new Glass, I like the new blocks. As good as always. No, even better because you added new blocks :biggrin.gif:
Thanks! With a smoother stone for building (and underground/behind your otherwise wonderful looking ores) this pack will be even more beautiful!

Past, future... it all depends on what you want your future to be ! :wink.gif:
And btw, I'll change the smoothstone in the upcoming update next week or so. You don't have to get used to the current texture.
