Can someone post pictures of the new glass and obsidian?
Thanks in advance!
NOOOOO!!! That glass was the best part for me now I hate it D': Sorry just stating my opinion, I hate glass with things in the way I make windows to see out of them not to look at bars. Can you add variations because I love everything else to death!
Thanks in advance!

Yep, I remade the glass quickly before posting the update but I don't like it either so yeah, I'll revert to the older one or something similar.
I don't think anything good can actually be done with glass as long as we can't make it half transparent...
And thanks for your opinion ! :smile.gif:

Hey I downloaded your Ummm "Texture Pack" And it was a .txt file? This looks super awesome :smile.gif: I'd like to try out the WIP version :biggrin.gif:

Oops ! it's not a text file but the .zip extension was missing so it wasn't recognized as a zip file. Fixed.

I hope you stick with 64x and try to make it as good as possible rather than making two or three different resolution packs.
I'll use and spread your pack as soon as it is useable - when the most common blocks are made and fit together.
I wish you the best for your project and try to help keeping the thread active!
Thanks !
I chose 64x because it was the best compromise between performances and texture details and I can't see any good reason at the moment to make it for other resolutions.

first I would like to say this looks fantastic! I hope you do get the shaders worked out once the terrain is done, as it would make this look even better. misa's new set of glsl shaders work extremely well and I switched over to them myself. working on updating my mapping for them for my next update. The mapping is tough to get right, but CAN look really good on a 64x pack
Edit: my terrain file and map files scaled down and thrown into misa's pack with her new glsl shaders

don't let anyone tell you it can't look good at 64x
a great hand maded texture set. i hope you can finish it completly with all textures hand drawn. than this will be the first >32px texture set i will test.
I really like this x64 pack. You have the feeling beeing in a warm, creeperless world. That's awesome. Looking forword to completition, too. To be honest. I nearly can't wait :biggrin.gif:
But i do not like the glass. It's too much structure and less glass. I don't like that at all, so I if you want, change it, otherwise let it be.
@GilbyJazz & @Grupsy :
The problem with bad looking normal/parallax maps is mainly the lack of texture filtering. But I'm sure there'll be an option for this when I'll start doing maps for shaders. :smile.gif:
@Spiritread :
I've totally revamped the glass texture for the next update, I've made it a wooden frame with little angles in the corners, I hope you'll like it !

WOW! I have been searching the forums for a long time to see a texture pack like this and its not even done yet! i can't wait for the finished product. My only issue is with the smoothstone (its not smooth...) but i read that you are planning to change that later so its all good :smile.gif:
some of the glsl shaders available support A.A. which kinda makes filtering a moot point. Not too hard to pull off in Gimp or photoshop. working on A.A. for mine now...learning as i go. :tongue.gif: I'm sure by the time you do yours the shaders WILL be much better, and I can't wait to see this pack with full glsl support!
Btw. - i like the idea of the stone block.
The most texture packs using smooth textures for stone, but for your pack style, your idea looks good. However, it's a little bit...too many pieces^^ Forget that, the first look is always deceptive^^ It's good.
But the tiling is not perfect. Some pixels convey the impression of lines - at least in my case.
If you start looking for repetitive patterns, you'll find a zillion ones ! :wink.gif: I'll check if I can see this line and if it's obvious.
The dirt block is a little to bright for my taste.
Mh, I'll try a bit darker but I have a heavy tendency to make things too dark so I'm trying to fight this and your 'request' goes against this sacred fight for Light. :smile.gif:
Maybe you could add some roots or something like that on the side grass blocks (don't know the right name now^^).
Roots are great! And climbers! :biggrin.gif: I love them in every fantasy game i play^^
Roots, rock... yeah ! Good idea

Hi Ovo, just wanted to say I REALLY like what you are doing here. My favorite image is the picture of the town square with the fountain. The colors work so well together and aren't harsh. My eyes feel so nice looking at it. That picture is actually the reason I am installing your pack now and I hope that you continue make this pack look awesome!
edit: after installing the pack my water looks much darker than in the screenshots. Can anyone help? I like the lighter look.
