Man, this pack just gets better and better. Love the purple fire on the torches/furnaces. The furnaces and workbench look great. While the imp chest does look good, I do think it is a bit "out there." I think a more traditional chest would be better, just my opinion though. The imp would be good painting material, or maybe for like a pumpkin or something.
As usual, keep up the good work!
Oooh Pumpkins! Yes, I like that. I'll move them over to be pumpkins and do something less odd for the chest.

I'll leave the current 'chest' texture in the file in the unused space so if you want you can just copy them back over whatever I do for the new chests.
Since I have a decent portion actually done now I've decided to let people have a sneak preview. Download Sneak Preview
Easier for you all to give me better feedback if you actually get to see stuff in the game.
The GUI is beyond horrible. I highly, highly, highly, suggest that you just throw away that entire concept along with those colors and start over. Look around at some wizardy games for inspiration for a good inventory?
I tried googling something really fast. Something like this maybe?
As for the actual pack, it's nice
I would make the leaves smaller though. Also, the trees look really blurry, and I can't say I like the rainbow trees... at all lol.
I personally lke the pack alot so far, and enjoy having bright, out there colours in my usually gloomy looking minecraft world. Hence my enjoyment of the GUI. Keep up the great work you've been doing so far. I'll play with your preview pack on for a little while and post again if I have any constructive criticism.
Yes, I have updated the file that link points to. I use the online copy as a backup so it tends to get updated whenever I make an update post, sometimes more often.
I think the only new textures in there at the moment that I haven't yet showed off are the water I was playing with and the lit 'pumpkins'. (The regular pumpkins use the imp texture I had as the small chest. I changed the face appropriately for 'lighting' him. >_>)
Next on my list of stuff to work on for this pack are the doors and lapis ore but I really need to go through my other packs first and add in the cookies, new particles and dogs for the one pack I have that has all the rest of the animals changed.

Alright sweet. I am enjoying the pack thoroughly so far, especially the foliage colours. My friend and I are more than likely going to use your foliage colours file for other texture packs we use as well, just because it's fun. The only hitch I've hit so far is that I usually have the single player commands mod installed, and for some reason it wasn't working when I used this pack. I've tried a couple other packs with it and it worked fine for the most part, so I'm not really sure what's up.
But other than that your pack has made my game more enjoyable and entertaining to walk around in :smile.gif:
And minecart tracks
(Oh and this is the first picture of the bed.)
I also put in the side grass and placeholders for the new saplings so it will work in 1.5 now without large pink blocks or weeping obsidian showing up everywhere.
The preview copy has been updated with the new stuff. Download
Are you not making this pack anymore? Has anyone else picked it up if you are not doing it anymore. I really like the look of it and would love to have an update on it.
Now that I have finally gotten the rest of my packs updated, it's time I did some more work on this one.
I've added a few new textures and put in the defaults scaled up for placeholders so the pack will at least be usable to test with. I've also pulled my old UI from the pack for the time being because I think I can do better.
Here is what the terrain.png currently looks like:
The download link in the first post on the thread has been updated to point to the current version. Any of the other links I've posted may point to older broken versions as I've slightly altered my folder structure.

Much promise this one has, but I must point out one thing: your ore blocks look distinctively lighter than the smooth stone texture. Might want to fix that soon. If I weren't so busy with life and Steelfeathers' projects, I would actually NOT mind helping out

Are you looking at the latest image of the terrain.png or the pack in the game?
The current smooth stone texture is a fair bit lighter than my original that you can see in the earlier images in this thread. In the current version there shouldn't be any difference between it and the ores as it's used as the background for the ore blocks.
I did however notice that I had somehow swapped the birch and smooth stone blocks so that has been fixed. I'm not entirely happy with the smooth stone blocks as I think they might be a little too smooth now but I'll come back to them later. Right now I'm more interested in getting the missing textures done.
I have been working on this pack but progress has been slow given the state of my free time. I doubt I'm going to get any work actually done on this pack this month given that I've gone insane again and am trying to write 50,000 words in 30 days. (NaNoWriMo)
If you are looking for a nice high quality HD pack that's far more complete, I highly reccomend Glimmar's Steampunk.
