I think I'm gonna have to agree with XSSheep about the smoothstone, think it might need to be a little softer/blended more, might not look so good from far away.
You do amazing work, I am very impressed. I cannot wait to see more of this pack, looks extremely promising, keep it up!
Everyone keeps talking about the stone but in the game I find myself more bothered by the grass. It looks like my world is covered in astro-turf.
That said, I think I'm gonna take a little different tack for the stone and fire up POV-RAY and see if I can't get some better looking granite out of it's procedural textures. My efforts in GIMP/Photoshop seem to keep coming out as a muddy wash or too noisy. (The current one is a little too noisy I think.)

Did a fair bit of playing around with the stone and wound up with something that's more of a marble. Not sure if I like it more or not, but I will say it does make it a bit easier to see stuff when in a cave.

On the gravel: I think you could tone down color variation, but put in some highlighted pebbles instead.
On the iron ore, I would move the highlight up and make it much stronger. Also, I would make the shading along the bottom much darker, and put in a highlighted edge too. This will really sell it as a metal orb.
Sorry for noodling all over your screenshots, if you don't appreciate this type of feedback, just let me know.
Really like the feel of this pack, the whole magic vibe it gives off. I like the blues and purples of the biome colors. I think the leaves could be a little smaller, I don't really like the big gaps in between them, but they look nice.
Logs look good as well, maybe they could be a tad darker? I was hesitant about the pine logs at first, but they do fit the theme really well. They would also be very nice for buildings/decorative purposes.
I Like the ores. I think I agree with Wayuki in that the iron ore could stand to look a little more metallic. I believe you said that the stone is supposed to be a little more marble like? I like the color, you don't see many light stone textures like that, but when you stand back they kind of look like scales or something similar. I think maybe the lines could be a little more faint, they seem to dark/sharp to me.
Its really hard to say anything bad about your pack so far, you are doing an amazing job. Keep it up!
As much as I keep tweaking these textures I'm starting to wonder if I will ever even get to things like workbenches XD
Anyway, some more screen shot goodness
The latest version of the leaves and the new birch.
(Should look familiar I stole the old stone for it since it does look rather scaly.)
New stone with less emphasized veining, toned down gravel, and more metallic iron.

I have the base of the new inventory screen done.
(Also have the base of the toolbar as well.)
I still need to do the 'particles' for the edges on the inventory and toolbar but I'm not going to do that till I'm entirely satisfied with the colors.

I play minecraft on two computers; one at home and the other elsewhere. On my lesser computer, I use 16x packs for ease of switching texture packs around and for less lag, and the better one I use Glimmar's Steampunk 32x pack and stick with it because I don't like using a patcher. (Also, it's a very nice pack.)
You're already putting my use of that pack at risk.
I really like the theme, especially with the colored leaves.
And whoaaa good job with all the textures, looks amazing, you are talented :smile.gif:
I am sure this pack will be a success! Keep up the good work!
Who better than wood imps to keep your treasures safe? (management is not responsible for any missing fingers, hands, arms or heads as a result of adding or removing item's from the imp's possession)

Arcane crystal swirling with energies not meant for mortals? Check.
Rune bindings to make sure it doesn't implode and rip apart space and time? Check.
Handy shelf full of odd shaped glassware and strange liquids? Check
Skull and other assorted animal parts? Not Check
(This is a magical work bench, not an apothecary.)

Here is a shot of my usual crafting station setup:
I like the way the face came out for the imp but I'm kind of torn over actually keeping him as a chest. I am debating moving him over to the paintings and making a new chest texture that's a bit less out there.

Man, this pack just gets better and better. Love the purple fire on the torches/furnaces. The furnaces and workbench look great. While the imp chest does look good, I do think it is a bit "out there." I think a more traditional chest would be better, just my opinion though. The imp would be good painting material, or maybe for like a pumpkin or something.

Curse PremiumI'm also getting more settled in my head as to what I want as the theme.
Post-apocalyptic but where the apocalypse was in the form of magic not nukes.
The land wasn't really destroyed, more just warped.
